Match Woolwich Wanderers vs Tottenham Hotspur FC @ The Dome of Silence, 8PM KO Wed 15 Jan 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We didn't "closely" lose, they pinned us in, went 2-1 up and then we didn't lay a finger on them all 2nd half. They completely managed us and we had no anwsers.
The thing is we can complain about the goal coming from the corner that wasn’t a corner but even if they don’t score then they would have scored again and won , hate this club at times , a poch spurs team gets the win today , even a conte or Jose team gets to win , I’d go even as far as saying a full strength Ange team wins but we can’t have nice stuff

Saw bits and pieces. Honestly, what a shit game. I really don't know how the Premier League model can go on like this. The football is just controlled and turgid. I didn't really feel anything.

Other than the young players, it's just robotic and empty and they will soon get beaten down by their coaches into machines that make the same passes and decisions as everyone else.
Great post.
Nobody on either side tried to be different.

Thankfully I didn't watch a single second of that.

Decided to put my feet up and have a couple of libations. Most enjoyable.

Under our current owners and management we are going nowhere and getting there fast.

I'm doing Efsborg because it is 'cheap' and in the hope I can see us nick a 1-0 win against European giants.

I think I'm going to stick to living in my Spurs past. 1968 to 1984. We died as a club when ENIC took over. Nice sausage rolls though so not all doom and gloom.
I beg to differ. The old cheap sausage rolls in WHL with a cheap Carlsberg in a plastic bottle were a thing of beauty! My desert option after a main course of High Road filth.

We're without Vicario,VDV, Udoggie, Romero, Bentancur (plus Davies, Odobert and Werner)

Not only are we missing that quality from them, we're also having to play everyone who isn't injured every game which has to take it's toll.

It would be a different game with that lot available.

It's fucking awful recruitment. While our rivals had a plan we kept going for scattergun signings and hiring managers to try and scramble something together resembling a team. No thought or effor to put together a team that fits a system has went into our recruitment or manager appointments for 7 or so years.
We have the worst chairman in football.

The worst manager in the PL (by a zillion country miles).

The worst medical team in the history of sports.

The weakest Spurs squad since the early 00's.

Won't happen, he'll get thru the LC SF 2nd leg and the FA Cup 4th round. By that time we might be out of all the cups and staring down our worst league finish in 21 years.

Nah, no chance we beat Liverpool at Anfield to get to a final.

And anyway, no chance the board leave it till then. If we lose against Everton, he has to be gone. He should be gone tonight, he should have gone months ago, but here we are.

I just cannot in anyway think the board are going to keep giving him more and more chances to take us further down the league.

The board won't want a league cup final and a relegation battle.

If it's just about tactics why did every single player lose every single personal dual, lose the ball repeatedly and just get bullied?
Its a lot more than tactics it's mentality

It is but having an under 10s game plan which fails game after game will shatter the players mental strength…

Look at the second half - Bergvall worked his arse off but the 5 offensive players did nothing. Yes there was a lack of effort and application but how were we supposed to create anything when our only style of play was to pass the ball out from the back, which more often than not got us into trouble or to expect Bergvall, Mr one man midfield to by some miracle, manage to find our attacking players who were nowhere to be seen. Expecting to get anything whilst playing a 415 was comical.
