Age of outfield players for France against Denmark: 21, 23, 21, 27, 26, 19, 22, 31, 23, 35

Average age: 24.8

Nkunku (24) will eventually replace Griezmann (31). Need a number 9 to replace Giroud/ Benzema. Hugo Ekitike is 20 and promising. Rutter (20, Hoffenheim), Kolo (23, Frankfurt) and Ali Cho (18, Angers) all look good too.

If one of them can be a good champions league striker then every major position is covered for 7/8 years minimum.

Future is bright.

Think England will perform alot better than a few think. But I think this is Argentinas to lose. Have a team spirit like no other, on a high coming into this, going for the international unbeaten record, Messi's last World Cup etc.

Shock team of the tournament to be Uruguay.

Can't believe I'm saying it, but that Lo Celso injury is a blow to Argentina. I have them as favourites, but a few more injuries and Brazil push ahead of them. Will be interesting to see if Enzo Fernandez takes some of the minutes on offer, could have a breakout tournament if so. Their gonna need somebody to replace Lo Celso in link play with Messi.

England will trudge their way through to the knockouts and lose to somebody by the odd goal. Luke Shaw and Bellingham to be their two best. Maddison should be not only in the squad, but in the starting lineup imo.. personally think he'd offer more game-changing moments than Foden, Mount or Grealish and takes better set pieces than all three. Hope it's a Messi or Neymar world cup, with one of the two stamping the tournament with an all-timer performance. Messi to be player of the tournament, Lautaro Martinez for top scorer.
