Competition World Cup 2026

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I was looking for all the Fan banter accounts ridiculing Wales, Ireland & Norn'Iron for failing to qualify, but all i'm seeing is an outpouring of sympathy for their "magnificent fans" who don't deserve to miss out on this Big Global Tournament...

...um surely THREE home nations out of five NOT qualifying is a big story...?
Bigger than ours last weekend?
Or are WE the only set of fans who "deserve ridicule" for daring to show up and support our team??

Btw, has anyone blamed Spurs for Brennan Johnson's penalty miss yet? :johnsonear:

Glad Ireland didn’t qualify. Now we don’t have to travel to trumps ball licking festival.

That said Ryan Manning is a gimp who should be banished from my island.
I've never before been ambivalent about any game we've played. It was such a peculiar feeling wanting us to win the match (and the next one) while, at the same time, wanting us to turn around and tell the World Cup to go and fuck itself if we had qualified.

Also, I agree 100% about Manning. What a brain dead thing to have done.

I'll probably ignore it altogether this year, as if our players do put in decent performances for their country after this disastrous season (especially if they take us down), I doubt my TV will survive.
Throw in having to see Trump's self-satisfied, orange mug all over the place, then I'm going out all summer.

And that Browne bollocks with the stutter run, and when the keeper didn't fall for it, he had one step to:

Decide somewhere knew to aim
Generate power
Generate placement

Him with as much technical ability on the ball as Stephen Hawkins, and ended as it should. Once he paused, you knew he was missing it.

But yes, that Manning twat. Absolutely no need to do it, and they shit the bed as a collective after that.

I am definitely watching the American games on American tv , it’ll be hilarious
ibcan still remember USA 94!
“Kick save by boner!”

Packie Bonner cleared a ball is all that happened. Also remember Johnny Aldridge nearly killed some job worth in a yellow hat for blocking his substitution against Mexico. He literally then scored out of pure rage. Great days

I'll find Swedish and Norwegian streams for their matches. Too many tournaments with crap managers have soured me to England pretty much since the days of Terry Venables and Glenn.

Personally I think the stutter run should be banned...once you start, you have to keep going

Well our man Don did promised that this years WC would surpass anything seen before in previous editions.

“ It is thought of being the most expensive general admission for a football match “

For once he seems to have true to his word (about something at least) Which is nice .

And it’s also , surely , addresses the risk touts of scooping up tickets only to sell them on at outrageous prices; FIFA having already “blown them out of the water” ( As Alan Sugar once famously said about the original Sky Deal ) .

I've bought a new TV for this but I'm not sure that I'm going to be able to watch it
