He's really turned it around. Great player, huge performance last night.
Fair play to him

City, Brentford, Brighton…No Europe for him to stand out in games next season.
We need a couple of big performances out of him in the league which there's little evidence of seeing currently.
What Gray does for that goal is exactly what Xavi wants. He wants to be in the other side of their midfield and running at a defence. Get a striker that can link with Xavi and you have that connection from middle to front which will make us much more fluid. That's some goal. Arthur Rowe and Bill Nic would be proud... this is push and run at it's trailblazing finest. Haven't seen a goal like that since Kane and Son were lighting up the league. Clearly a layer Frank was unable to unlock.
Got a feeling he will agitate for a move in the summer no matter what happens. He doesn’t hang around at clubs long. If we stay up and I were him I would stay, see who the manager is and try and establish myself as a PL player.

He's not really done enough to generate interest from anyone bigger than us though, providing we stay up then he'll stick around I imagine. If I were him and I wasn't a Spurs fan, I would look for a move.
We've been a source of non stop ridicule this season. He himself has been a "victim" of the match fixing from refs. He's still young enough to go somewhere else, to a team that isn't a circus act in a league that isn't reffed by nazi's.

He's not been half the billy big bollocks that I was expecting though, and I mean that as a good thing. Was expecting him to be all ego, and a little petulant, but he's actually been pretty humble, and what we/he has served up for much of this season has probably made him even more so.
Seems like the kind of character that would want to stay and make himself the main man here, and maybe then try an agitate for a move to one of the massive clubs.
But that's what his (supposed) planned career trajectory would demand.Doesn't have to be "bigger"
A sideways step to a team where he's not likely to be in a relegation fight and cheated every week would be better for him.
I've been banging about this literally all season. Frank would set us up to primarily fear what our opponent could do to us and honestly, he couldn't even get that right. We should be imposing our will on opponents, make them have fucking nightmares about trying to stop us, not the other way round. That game on Wednesday should act as a catalyst to unlock our true attacking potential. Tudor has given them the structure and the platform to play like that. There can be no more excuses from these players. What Gray does for that goal is exactly what Xavi wants. He wants to be in the other side of their midfield and running at a defence. It’s my favourite goal this season because it’s everything you want to see from midfield to front. Aggressive, speed, composure and class all in that goal.
Perfection. Hopefully the players can take some much confidence from this and realise if they play on the front foot and aggressively their ability will always shine through. Teams hate playing against that.

He's not been so woeful that he'll be forced to take a sideways step, though arguably he's already kind of done that by coming here, he's had his year to adapt and all sense would suggest he ought to remain and really kick on with us next season.

Well that's different to him agitating for a move.No team that could afford him would want to sign him after the season he’s had. He’s spent almost all of it either falling down or giving the ball away.
99% chance he’s here next season.

Maybe but, apart from his resting bitch face, I don't see why fans seem to think Xavi "doesn't care"? He and Tel seem to love getting the crowd involved and he always comes over for a clap etc...
Everyone will want a move if we keep behaving like we have been - sacking trophy winning managers only to then hire someone with no pedigree; not signing genuine elite, expereinced talent and, worst of all, not strengthening in January when the squad was on its knees.
Doesn't exactly scream "professional working place" does it?
On the other hand, if we stay up it might strengthen the bond between the players, between players and club and, most importantly, players and fans. New dawn and all that.
