Let's be real, he was third choice behind MGW and Eze and he is looking like it. Just typical THFC, never give the manager who he wants.

He also wanted Mbuemo but we gave him the Temu version in Kudus.

Doesnt matter who the manager is, past, present or future. They all get stitched up.
I think this is a bit unfair. Normally, 100% agree but on these three it’s quite clear we attempted to get them, with MGW being “agreed” before Marinakis kicked off.

Eze we thought we were doing but clearly only ever wanted Woolwich and Mbuemo only wanted United.

Could we have offered more wages to Mbuemo? Could that have swung it? Maybe, but those other two I don’t think are on Levy or the board. This time.

True, but my point was about the manager, not just Frank, not getting their first choice. Or in the attacking midfielder position not even their second. Really we needed two in anyway. Maddison out for the season and we dont even really know when Kulusevski is back. I wouldnt be surprised if he is out for the whole campaign too.

I wouldn't say he was third choice either, probably a panic buy as we hadn't any more options avaliable.

Hey Admin Admin where is Richard Arlison, I can't tag him anymore?

Why does it FEEL LIKE WE sign the players who take longest to adapt....
I know that's not the case, as Wirst is proving at Liverpool...
But for ONCE we need to sign a player who can hit the ground running...
Or is THAT why they say only sign PL proven quality like MGW or Eze?🙃

VDV did, Kudus has. You could argue Solanke last season did exactly what was expected of him from day 1.

They say buying players with proven PL experience 60% of the time works all of the time.
Johnson and Richarlison being great examples!!

Madders was a freak injury but should immediately have been replaced with the best like for like we could get.

Son should have seen a like for like replacement.

Deki the club clearly know was more fucked than they were saying. That these weren’t replaced is a disgrace. But hey they’ll be like new signings when they get back. Because we all know there’s going to be no issue with their knees being fucked lol

November. He’s probably in Nepal growing his moustache and training his mind with the monks.

The guy works on a different existential plain to most mortals.
A few centuries he will reach my level of understanding of the universe.

He wasn't even our 5th choice.

And yes, our strikers are shite.

Still, he's gotta show balls and control games, dictate play, be that electric spark for us. But he's shown zilch, not even a glimmer of hope. Doesn't create, doesn't shoot. Literally a non-entity out there.

60 frigging million. RB Leipzig were already laughing we took Werner twice, but now this.

Trying to find positives here. How likely is it that his poor form is down to him having having to serve the equivalent of static traffic cones up front?

If we had forwards with much better movement, would his workload become easier? In short would buying a decent striker or three bring the best out of him?
I think there's a lot to be said for that. When he has to hang on to the ball, looking, waiting for an outlet in front of him, he is not strong enough to hold off being closed down challenged.
Although I was hoping he would have had the skill-set to dance away from those challenges? At the moment, sadly not!

Fucker can’t control a ball, can’t pass in a straight line and can’t run past anyone and falls over when the wind blows on him.

Addressing all of that would help too.

I don't think ww would be playing any differently if we'd bought Eze or MGW.

MGW would have been another Johnson.
Extremely limited Forest player.
