Correction, this isn't a LEVY type of signing.Well, let's just say it, this isn't a very Spurs type of signing and that's exactly why it's left us all breathless

To read X I'd think the gooners were based in Africa. Nothing against the continent or anyone who lives there, but why are Goon fans from there so prolific at trolling? Just about all the Goon trolls one encounters around the internet fit that template. I don't see North American or any other English language gooners going around on social media making a show of themselves like they do, hanging on every word from the official Spurs account and getting in replies, always with an avatar of them wearing that pitiful red kit. Weird business it's so disproportionateStaggering how much Gooner filth follow Spurs on X to troll every post. Especially as 90% of them are obviously from overseas. Do they actually think our Admin read their replies? Fucking weirdos.
Fair
Not like son.Never heard about him. Does he play like Sonny ? Stats look good
The profile is honestly super similar to Eze.Not like son.
He probably reminds me most of Eriksen in the way he strikes the ball. But a little quicker, faster and stronger but not as 2 footed.
I didn’t see many crosses from him but he can play an excellent through ball.
The profile is honestly super similar to Eze.
Right footed creator who drifts in centrally from the left, prolific dribbler, tough to get the ball off of, lots of end product, has a wondergoal in his locker, aware and creative passer if not a serial line-splitter, stylish, grabs the game, but also guilty of disappearing when it's not his day.
Eze is battle tested and proven in the PL and a leadership character managers and teammates love. Simons' technical ability is higher and he's much younger.
We shall see.
His choice of celebration is questionable. Some thoughts here about him being a bit of a dickhead, but he seems like a humble, down to earth fella in his unveiling.
Any move can succeed or fail, and he's a risk for sure, but to have an all-in cost, with no add-ons less than the likes of Elanga or Kudus or Madueke, and to have him on a deal for ages 22-27 that at the club's option can be extended to lock him up through age 29, that's just a really favorable structure for us from a business perspective.Depends on how good he is!! We all know how the PL can make or break a player...I don't know anything about this guy...
Xavi, Kudus and Maddison, numbers 7, 20, and 10Just saw a video of five of his best goals. Reminded me of Dele. Without the headers.

It's very similar to Ndombele, but Ndombele was also a sharp break from Levy's previous strategy and we hadn't made a move like this since. How does he it really differ to Ndombele (eg)...... Similar age.... Similarly high ceiling..... Whom we also got despite a so-called bigger team looming.
Allowing for inflation, Simons is a damn sight cheaper.

I don't really want to litigate the differences with Ardiles and Villa, Klinsmann, Van Der Vaart, the stuff we always blather about, but it's very much a move made in the spirit of that lineage. This is doing what it takes to put a box office star in the team right now.
