Thought he stood out today. Some lovely touches, growing in confidence.
Saying he was playing with an injury you wouldn’t have known. I thought he played well but was also erratic at times. Guess I just have to face the fact that he’ll lose the ball because he’s trying stuff more than others. Can’t really moan about him being proactive going forward.
Great midfielders also know when to keep things simple and do all the basics right, that's something Simons still needs to learn and hopefully it will come with time. Overall a very good performance yesterday!
Needs some more quality around him . He finds people with passes when they make the right run , however it’s not reciprocated by other players when he makes a clever run . I am confident with the right manager and better players he will be very good. No guarantee he gets that at our bin fire of a club
He looked good because he had lots of space and time on the ball after Dortmund went down to 10, and also because continental football is slower.
