We would come immediately back up. Our under 21 players combined with keeping a few seniors (solanke can score 30 in the championship) would have us piss the championship. Moore would be one of the best wingers there. Danso would be a very good CB at that level etc.

That’s without considering someone like Maddison would probably stay and would be laughably above championship level, Kulu may also come back .. etc.

With RDZ I feel like he will get us back on the right track again, and would be able to do what you speak of, as long as we don't lose too many quality players, and do at least a marginal job of ins/outs. If we somehow end up with another coach like Ange, Igor or Frank though, we would be in serious trouble.

He is probably like all the other managers we have had at the club, he sees the potential and he thinks he is the right guy to bring the ship home. Tragically, this feeling doesn't survive contact with the wankers that own and run the club.

Have we got any quality players? Let's face it, we are about to get relegated from the PL. I would contest the reason for that is poor managers but also way too many average players. In true Spurs style, it's almost certain the ones we are cordial towards will leave and the ones we universally hate will stay.

We have some raw talents that can become good players under RDZ within 6-8 months I think. He needs to be given time to coach properly.

I do understand what you are saying though. The club utterly failed to maintain enough attackers this season and there is no guarantee they do any better this coming summer.

Exactly this, RDZ is probably our final throw of the dice before we lose any perceived big club status we think we have. I've no doubt if we get relegated we will come back up and I doubt we will be a yo-yo club but we will find ourselves back to 1992. A spurs side that is probably a team plying it's trade in the middle of the table with the odd flirtation with the top six and bottom four.

1992? I think you can go back further, more like 1987

Also if it wasn't for Kane and Son this club would have remained exactly that, somewhere between mid table and top 6

He's saying that wear on tear on our pitch could still equate to an eventual ACL at away pitches though
It's not the pitch and people need to stop saying it is the pitch.
It's more likely to be something like boots. We saw various players slipping arse over tit against Atleti. That's the sort of thing that fucks a knee ligament far more than the surface you run on.
There's guys road running 26 miles in under 2 hours with legs built like toothpicks now. Yet their ACL's are fine.
Or, it could be the medical staff that aren't listening to players saying they feel sore and checking them properly.
It's not like we don't have the money and resources to have an MRI machine on sight to quickly check niggles.

Question...

Madison has been on the bench the last 2 games. In a theoretical world where he's ready to play Sunday and Xavi hadn't been injured..
Who was more likely to play through to the end of the season?

Given Xavi has been largely turgid for most of the season until the last 2 games, I wouldn't have been surprised for him to be back on the bench and Mads in the starting 11 ASAP.

I didn't say anything about the PL conspiring to lose us, just that they're corrupt.

I KNOW we're not a beneficiary because I watch the games. I KNOW that others aren't because I watch their games too.

And guess what, I know who the actual beneficiaries are because, you guessed it, I watch their games as well.

If you're not seeing it...

We don't have retractable training pitches, surely it's only the stadium pitch that may be questionable?
I think they've replicated the standard and dimensions/depth material of the Stadium pitch on all training pitches...
I seem to remember hearing the depth of the ground UNDER the turf is the problem.... (Too shallow) So if they've done that on all training pitches,
a) it explains a lot... and
b) they're fucking stupid!

There's no way they've gone to the bother and expense of building the training pitches like that, it would be a completely pointless exercise.

Yup! Sure would... but that's what they've done!
Then again, so would an underground F1 track in the Car Park and half built hotel complex leaving a massive fucking gaping hole in front of the South Stand!!!

Hate to break it to you, but they built a prototype and installed it at the training ground before they installed it in the stadium.
So the argument could be made that it's more the training ground than the stadium pitch. They spend more time on that and it may be inferior.

HOWEVER:
We have been at the new stadium for SEVEN YEARS. 3 of the 4 ACL injuries we've suffered have happened in the last 18 months.
Players have played an excessive number of games in that period and not suffered any significant injury. Pedro Porro for example is hardly ever injured. Xavi on the other hand, has been a bench warmer as has Dragusin and both got stricken.

It can’t be boots or shin pads, or we’d be seeing similar figures throughout the league.

It could be the depth of the pitch and training pitch.

I’d say it’s more likely that the players haven’t been properly trained for three years. And yes, I’m still a fan of Ange, but he couldn’t hold a training session if you sellotaped one to his fucking hand.

We don’t train properly and still have to cover 10k per match. Didn’t some recent signing or manager say that he was amazed how much time the players spent on machines and not on the pitch at training? Bound to have a negative effect.

Our players are physically fragile, but mainly they're very weak mentally and they play for an organisation where losing is okay & cutting corners is not frowned upon...so it's no surprise they don't live the life, train well, do the extra work at home, eat right, have good sleep patterns etc.
