Match Chelsea scum away. Battle of the bridge 2: revenge of the yids

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Just in time for the crazy Xmas period and hopefully just as other teams take their turn to have a blip or injury crisis, the amazing recent runs of Chelsea and (apart from that 0-0) LFC can't go on forever.
When you say LFC, I assume you're talking about Liverpool? 'cos they said the same about LCFC last year too!

Titles aren't won in November.
No, but they can certainly be lost in November!!

I hear you but Leicester was different. For over half, maybe 2/3rds of the season no one took them seriously, each team thinking we'll be the ones to put them in their place. Everyone already knows Liverpool are deadly in attack, teams will clock how to stop them (like Utd, Soton did), then if one or two of that killer front 4 get injured, it could be tougher for them than we've seen.

They, like Chelsea, have peaked too soon. You want your 6 wins from 6 (CFC) or 7 from 9 (LFC) in the run in, not now – it's not like they've cleaved open a huge gap to the chasers, for all our 'troubles' we're 1 off 4th and 4 off 1st, and that's with drawing more games than we win.

The biggest number 1 problem I have with Chelsea is their fans. Obviously I hate Woolwich, but I've got to admit I do count a few of their supporters as my friends and they're nowhere near as big as twats as Chelsea fans I know (even when the subject turns to football, with Woolwich it'll just be good natured piss-taking rather than the genuine bile you get from Chelsea - very angry people, they are). Also there is something quite humourous about the top 4 hegemony Woolwich are stuck in where every season is exactly the same, whereas Chelsea were the Premier League's first "galactico" store-bought team and changed the playing field and how success could be achieved and the expectations of the big clubs forever. They'll always be top o' the shit list for that.
Chelsea hate us more than Woolwich do. IMO.

Tough one this one. Im an optimist and i do think weve got enough quality and on our day we can smash anyone. Lately that aint been the case with the performances and to be honest, i do see a draw at best. BUT...
Chelsea are not unbeaten this season and at the same time that was obviously a one off as they have been quite solid and they look like they will win the league this season.
If (and its a big if) we are going to win this one, it will be because every single player on the pitch would have been up for it and played out a 110% performance.

My team vs. Chelscum will be. (4-2-3-1)

Lloris

Walker, Dier, Wimmer, Vertonghen.
Wanyama, Dembele.
Eriksen, Alli, Son.
Kane

To be honest im not really that fussed about the team selection an i know theres a few players doubtful cause of injuries and all that crap, i just wanna see more gut, bit more passion. Its chelsea AWAY for feck sake. COYS

hope this boils down to player discipline and we have learned our lesson from last time...can see a win but only as you said if they all play 110%

Lamela still out too. Not ashamed to say I'm worried about this one turning to shite for us in view of our injuries & suspension (plus current form not being exactly stellar). Their good run has to come to an end however, so maybe a crumb of comfort. I would settle for a draw right now.

:walkercry:

Our attack is okay, but the defense is not that good now. Squad is threadbare.

Post CL exit.......Last season the Chavs enjoyed coming back form 2 nil down to spoil our chances of possibly winning the PL.. Revenge is on the cards and would be very welcomed . They are showing league winning form so we should return favour and ruin theirs (knock their from). We showed great resolve against WHU and will need every bit off that determination to get a result at SB. Costa has scored 3 games on the run and Chavs have beaten LC 3 and Utd 4 nil and Midds only 1 nil. My only concern is Poch and his (maybe I'm being a little harsh) meddling with the formation, back 4-3 or 5? He got it right against City then Woolwich and again with WHU, lets hope he plays a blinder and gets it spot on against the Chavs.

I think ouR LB situation will force his hand somewhat....
He's gonna have to go with either Jan or Wimmer at LB... we don't have the bodies to go 5 across the back... and Jan/Wimmer are hardly wing-backs!!

For me, I would go for it....Resting Jan with Walker, for me suggests both FBs on Sat with Dier in middle (or Dier Wimmer and Jan) -3 at the back, a strong 5 across middle, gives us two up front. We must learn from WHU playing 3. We need to get wide and get behind them- Son did this brilliantly.
