My comments about selling players was more general. We had no choice but to sell Bale and Modric, but elite teams really don't do that. We sold Bale and Modric because we couldn't offer them what other teams could.
I don't think it's a big secret that we haven't reached that point where we can keep world class players indefinitely. We just can't offer the big salaries or remain consistent enough. Hopefully the stadium can rectify some of that.

The only thing I will say is that Trippier would tend to get the lesser teams / games and had that nice end of season but you are totally right, we always survive, Poch should be trusted implicitly

In answer to your question, that's not how we operate in the transfer market. We don't sign the best of the best from them because we used to not be able to afford it and we buy young players and develop them.
