Ex-Spurs Player Kyle Walker

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The add-ons equate to 3mil, not 8mil. 45m is just the initial payment with a further 5mil installment. Bale's transfer wasn't 21m with add-ons because it gets paid in 4 installments
Hahaha - you're something else, I give you that. Are you CJJ CJJ ' multi - Mr. Nevrer Ever Wrong?

So why were all such plaudits bestowed upon KW before this saga began?

Equally so, maybe hes an integral part in a title winning season with City this coming season.?

We've rotated FBs since it was a viable option to do so....

It wasn't just Walker that got the plaudits. It was the defence as a whole. Those behind him allowed him to go on those marauding runs. Same went for Danny Rose on the other wing. The system allowed those traditional R and L backs become our attacking width.

I still don't think City will be any better than us. Trippier towards the end of the season showed he's not necessarily a better defender but he is also a good/different attacking outlet to Walker.

I trust Pochettino to work his magic. Look at the players who he's turned into international defensive backs. Clyne, Shaw, Rose, Walker, Trippier and to a lesser extent Davies.

Peeps were hyping KW as captain material here mere months ago; celebrating his attitude, commitment and status of a senior statesman etc.

Collectively, that may well prove to be the case, but theres no credibility to the suggestion that he won't be an improvement for them.

You or I have zero influence over any of this so "keep the faith" is all we can do, but being expectant/dependent upon 'magic' alone would be rather complacent of us.

Obviously wont work every time....

True. Remember when we started a season with DIER in the midfield? Seemed like the end of the world.

I'd actually forgotten about that one. That was craziness at the time. Honestly I was about to give up on Poch when he played Fazio and Wimmer against Woolwich in an early League Cup match a couple of seasons ago, which we lost, but the next week we smashed Man City against all odds in the league and the pair were never to be seen again. Now Fazio is actually back from his loans I wouldn't be surprised if he turned into a quality player, same with the likes of Wimmer, Sissoko and Janssen. The way Son transformed in his second season when he was half-way out the door, anything is possible playing under this manager.

I wish him nothing but the best and thank him for everything that he has done for us. Although he could be incredibly frustrating at times, he's contributed so much to our side. I see no point in assigning blame on this one, things like this are bound to happen. If you believe the reports it sounds like we got a good deal for him, and I'm going to choose to ignore the bullshit stories and comments around him now or in the past.

Thanks Kyle, good luck, just not against us!:pochbye:

If there's one thing I've learnt in life, it's that people who say things like "you're never wrong" are people with a disproportionate mouth to brain ratio.

I think there are about 5 players who would have been ahead of KW as captain. Not sure where you're getting those ideas from? I'm a big fan of Walker have been since before he started getting regular games under Redknapp.

It's not magic, Pochettino is an excellent coach and has shown how he can transform players.
