I've got great respect for him, been paid millions and being given hundreds of millions to buy a squad that could probably be managed to the title by Alan Pardew on an off day. Not many jobs as sweet as that and the media will still suck his balls with or without bought titles.

He got given maybe the greatest club players ever in Barca, the greatest German team by a mile and now gets to spend half a billion trying the same in England. Literally the luckiest person in football in all of human history.

And whilst many will dislike me for saying it, that is why I say Mourinho tops him by far.

Maybe not as expansive but in terms of knowing how to win there have been very few who have been better.........ever.

Guardiola by contrast is pathetic but I also know that Mourinho will be readying his tongue and I hope we can slip under the radar again.

But we also need to add to our rank to do that.
 
I think we should sign somebody just for the sake of keeping the team fresh. Also, the Walker money must be spent yes, fuck off Levy u aint getting that.

Also, its not about the money spent, its about the player you get.

City may have bought Danilo for 25mil..but im dead sure our own 3.5mil Trippier is a better player. That 25 mil bought them a name from a fancier club. Thats it.

Ye, Mourinho is fucking awesome, because he keeps turning turds to gold without spending money.

Guardiola is by far the better manager, because he has his teams playing positive, attacking football. Guardiola spends hundreds of millions to win playing positive football. Mourinho spends hundreds of millions to win by any means, spewing shit all over referees, the FA, his club, any other club, other managers, his own players, his staff, and the game of football.

Whenever I am draw back into looking at this abomination of a thread it always reminds me of the (and this makes me want to vomit) great Liverpool sides of the 70s and 80s. Every season they would basically tweak the team by ONE player rather than making wholesale and unnecessary changes.

Worked well for 20 years.

I think that could work for us as well - although football has changed a lot, they would only really have a first team squad of 13-14 players back then.
 
Just heard a snippet of radio coming from a van outside my house - sounded like Jim White, no idea what station - basically they were totally cunting us off regarding the transfer window, saying we're in big trouble next season. The world and his wife are really gunning for us now, no wonder the players have been tweeting the merits of a stable, unified squad. It seems our constipated transfer policy has really touched a nerve with some people.
