Good. And he would have been fully aware of that when he signed his Madrid contract. As someone else mentioned, even if Levy refuses to meet his wage demands, he can scupper any move to United for at least 2 years. It's the very least we deserve.
So. Fuck off Mourinho you cunt. Our man's got you by the fucking balls
Be nice if we had a wealthy benefactor ready to spunk up 80 mill and we could really shut these fuckwits up!

We don't have anyone by the balls. First refusal means just that, the seller names his price and you say yay or nay. If the latter, the seller can then sell to whoever he wants. It doesn't give you the right to hold up the sale to other parties if you don't want to buy, as that would be an unreasonable restriction on trade.

There's an old Spanish saying "ni come ni deja comer", which translates as "He won't eat or let others eat" which would be exactly the principle here.

Not sure that restraint of trade fly's in the Spanish Courts does it?

How many "ITKs" have actually been right this window? We've been told to expect a new signing on probably 5 or 6 occasions only for nothing to happen; the most recent examples being yesterday and friday of last week. Deadset joke

I must be missing something here. Aren't there normally two main stages to a transfer?

1. Club accepts fees

then

2. player accepts terms.

If the second one doesn't happen it means he is free to go wherever, all RM have to do is give us equal opportunity to sign him. I can't see us being able to derail anything, only slow it down by a few hours until Bale says "I don't accept the terms on offer".

Walt, the above post may have given you the impression that I was less than trusting vis-a-vis your privileged information.
As it has been brought to my attention that you may in fact be none other than Ledley King, may I reassure you that this was never my intention.
Can we be cyber best-friends?

Would it? I quite enjoy the moral high ground of not having a "wealthy benefactor" compared to other clubs
Do you. Considering the way the club is run, I'd feel more comfortable if we were not owned by a super-billionaire at all if I'm honest. Would make it easier to accept. The fact we drew the short straw and landed the one with short arms and no interest in football just makes it all the more galling

Oh. So it wasn't worth the piece of paper it was written on. Just another publicity stunt if that's the case. I see

I prefer to think of him as someone who's sensible with his money. He clearly has an interest in football..
