I don't understand this weird attitude - it's exactly the same thing John Thomas keeps dreaming up so he has something to moan about.
  • Eriksen isn't unhappy
  • Dele isn't unhappy
  • Kane isn't unhappy
They all signed new contracts less than 12 months ago.

No offence, but it really fucks me off that we're in such a good position, yet some people are seemingly so desperate to get the pitchforks out that they're making up a crisis that doesn't exist.

We're not that lot down the road NONE (for emphasis) of our players are running down contracts. Not one. Nada. Zero.

It's not about them being unhappy, it's about looking after the clubs future. Over the past 12 months football has really gone berserk and gone up a gear. In any other profession if you were on £60k knowing you could earn four times more elsewhere are you saying it wouldn't have some kind of psychological impact on you?

I'd love for them all to stay and if they are truly happy I'm thrilled, I just think that an increase closer to the £200k per week mark for Kane, Alli and Eriksen, with Toby getting closer to £150k will keep leechy agents off their back and minds, demonstrate to the rest of the team that if you perform you will get all your footballing and financial dreams fulfilled in our Lillywhite shirt and stop other clubs having more muscle when it comes to sniffing around them.

I hope you're right and they are happy, but they'll see people like Chicarito earning £140k and know they are worth more. We simp,y cannot allow ourselves to run the risk of potentially falling into stepping stone territory like it has happened i the past with Teddy, Berba, Luka and Gareth. This time it's different, this time we have a team which is far harder to replace than an individual, just my opinion hombre

Yet you've decided to believe that's what they are on, and that's what others earn?

Are you really ready to believe that Chicharito wouldn't leave West Ham to earn half the wage at a club that wins trophies? They are compensating players for basically sacrificing footballing reasons.

It's like someone saying all Engineers should be on over £100k a year, just because you can get that easily working on an oil rig.
