I'd naturally disagree with this. I'm not doubting that you have raised your game particularly against Spurs and even United over the past decade or so. It just always appears like you've never done it to the same level against the likes of Woolwich or Chelsea (or City or Liverpool) when it mattered the same. I think that is the main thing both Spurs and United fans would be angry at you for.
You don't actually appear to turn up for every big game because that would mean you'd be taking points equally off other big teams too. You just randomly decide it is your Cup final in selective games against very specific sides and fuck off for the rest of the season. That is fine when we had nothing to challenge for either. But when you are going for the league and on top of that have significantly more derby matches when everyone else is getting a pass it's about time we wanted to give it back.
