There are different ways to dis-accept the team's performance: for a club like Burnley who are level on points, the fans may be like - nice try guys, if they finish 9th or something.
For us, we react more like, guys wtf. Sure the players tune it out at the pitch, and their social media accounts are only read by their PR people, but the message does filter through.
It takes that kind of pressure to push the players to perform - that's the impact of supporters attending games, it's not just down to managers to let off a half time hairdryer, and support isn't just a matter of cheering, sometimes you have to show you're pissed off as well.

And that, my friends, is chapter one of my new book: rants from the stands.

I'm not talking about boycotts or petty insults online, I'm talking about turning up and making constructive criticism from the stands.
Like i said, supporters will celebrate success and get on their case during the shit spell. Sometimes that's what it takes to lift them out of their fugue.
Same as with ranting at the red over a yellow card - if you swallow those without complaint, the next one's a red.
Without guys like THST, we could have less ideal settings in the new stadium, 8pm games on Christmas Eve.
To many games in a six week period - next time the clubs know to set some clauses to limit the maximum games per three week period or something.
As for the squad depth - well sure there's nothing we can do about that.

I didn't say people would or should stop attending. I'll rephrase what i meant though: best impact of supporters attending games is to sledge the shit out of opponents, whistle a time wasting goalie until the cunt passes out with a headache, cheers all round when we score, and well, players will only hear your own bits of wisdom as far back as row 5 at Wembley.
My seat is in row 12 due this game so I won't quite be the touchline expert of the day.
As for expectations, well the likes of Watford are either aiming for survival, or some realistic number of points and wins.
Levy and Poch said we're aiming for top 4, so mine are aligned with that.

The biggest problem this team has had, besides somewhat inconsistent offensive output has been the fact that we continually seem to leak at least one goal a game. We don't ever seem to get truly run over where we could lose 4-0 or something like that like Liverpool could do, but its always 1 or maybe 2 in a rare case. I don't know how exactly you solve that issue. We haven't allowed more than 2 goals in a league game in 3 seasons (minus that newcastle disaster) but in the past 2 seasons, the defense is usually tighter along with the offense being sharper.

I really hope this is just a spell. Need to get it going asap. Maybe the B-Team against Apoel might shine a light on someone who should be getting more gametime.
 
This period reminds me of the years where we were content with winning a cup, so our league form wasn't all that.

On sensible days, I know we don't have a snowball's chance in hell in winning the Champions' League, but the soppy part of me thinks that we might and it won't matter if we finish out of the top four. As a supporter, it's OK to have illogical thoughts, but I think it's dangerous if Poch and the players think like that.

The league is still our bread and butter and we still have the players available to beat the majority of the teams we come up against. However, we still have to fight to earn the right - we're not going to win just by turning up. I accept the players are human and will have 'off' days and get tired and refs are rubbish. All I ask is that they give their all when they are playing.

If we dont progress to at least the semis in the CL then this year has been a complete failure.

The attitude of some players stinks.

We believed our own hype.

Dont care what anyone says...we have the reputation of bottlers and we deserve it.

Im trying to inform without being too specific and Im fully aware that people dont want to hear what Im saying and also fully expect the abuse Im receiving.

Im diehard....Im also not in denial.

I know bottlejob is a dirty word around here but its only december fur fucks sake.

Open up a new account and try an original approach; claim to be Spursyleaks and say you have hacked into the clubs emails (in fact that’s not bad, don’t steal that one I’m going to use it in next summers transfer thread)

Im hardly revealing anything groundbreaking mate. not claiming to be in the know either. Just putting the recent decline into some sort of context based on a few loose words from someone with an insight into things. If you dont want to hear it then ignore....its that simple.

Seriously mate, you have got potential but you just jumped the gun a bit. Start again, try a few positive posts first. Get a few likes, people love a good meme, then start with the ITK stuff. You’re just in too much of a rush
