The whole he’s worth £150k pw is a bit mad considering Kane and Lloris are not even earning that. They have both been far more reliable than Toby in the last few years. He cannot expect to be our highest paid player if he’s not been able to complete seasons without long term injuries.

Yes he’s a world class defender and would be a miss if sold, however he needs to show his class, £110k is parity with both Kane and Lloris. If we qualify for CL again next season you can bet there will be another round of new improved contract signings.

We've been challenging at the top of the table for the past few seasons, sometimes miles ahead of the big boys, but are still paying mid table wages. At some point, we're gonna have to look at this, because it's not just Toby who could double his wages elsewhere, it's our whole first 11.

I grew up support Spurs in the mid 90s, I wouldn't care if it all went crashing down in true Spurs style and we went back to being that shit - I'd still love my club. But since we're so close to something special it'd be fucking heartbreaking.

Your post made me think of the light speed barrier. The closer you get, the harder it becomes. We have got this close by doing things the way the management dictate, despite all the flack they get, and I hope they know what to do to push us over the line, despite our financial limitations.

Thet thought of us being so close is delicious and painful.

It's feels good to be in with a shout after all these years.

You can tell the future? Who will ask for more money? Jan, eriksen, Kane? They all deserve it. Who else? You are just speculating now. We are at a point that is critical in our season and with Toby's contract. So we need to sort it out and make him happy. Simple. Who else is into their last 18 months?? No one!

Of course there is. When was decided Walker to be sold, he was left on the bench hardly started a match and came as a sub on few matches including FA semi against chelsea. Toby now is being left out of the squad even though fit and played 90mins against newport.
Body language of Walker then and Toby now is similar.

Toby’s just had a 4 month injury lay off he showed v Rochdale he’s not ready to start big games. He’s rusty and unfit people are making mountains out of Molehills ATM

He has shown his class every season. Kane should be earning double so do that too. You cannot expect to keep the best in class in their positions unless you pay. Then we may as well give up on winning anything or making the top 4. How much revenue do lose them?? It's 2m a year and we will lose a hell of a lot more if we don't pay him

How do you know that? Have you ignored the last 4 months? We’ve been fine without him. Do you want a 29 year old crock earning £150,000 pw for 4 years, while he’s injured and other players, earning less, are doing his job for him? Our offer is fair for a player who no one wanted a couple of years ago.

No I can’t tell the future and yes I am just speculating.

However, your post that I was responding to was obviously bursting with facts and no speculation at all. You know for a FACT that Toby wants and extra £40k per week when most reports are it’s about £100k per week extra. So no speculation from you, just facts.

You know for a FACT we can afford any rise he wants. Again, you must be he club accountant or maybe even Levy or Lewis, because why would you speculate? Just facts from you on here.

I suggest the rest of us stop posting speculation on any thread and just wait for you to give us the facts.
