They're just glory hunting cunts, my neighbour has been a United fan for about 50 years and fucking hates the win at all cost shit. I think our problem is that the heightened expectation created by Pochettino has unhinged a few people unused to it and has pushed some over the edge into the entitled cunt bracket.
And there you have it, it is now considered delusional to place expectations on one of the most talented sides in the league to actually win something.
The real question is why do so many supporters continually act as if this is the ‘90s? Why do so many measure CL qualification as success when for years we mocked Woolwich for their top 4 trophy obsession? Why are so many supporters so passive to the fact the club hasn’t won anything in a decade despite having two fantastic sides in that time?

Let's be real Spurs will always mock Woolwich and Woolwich will always mock Spurs , Woolwich used to mock Thursday night football and league cups and look at them now , Woolwich also went from the cusp of greatness to also rans when they were meant to be moving forwards to another level , Spurs have made giant strides in an era where clubs of modest finances aren't supposed to compete.
You can say whatever you like, we still have to actually win the fucking trophies not consider them a god given right just because we have a decent team...
I’ve been a supporter for over 35 years in that time I’ve been lucky enough to have experienced us winning the odd cup or two. We’ve never seriously mounted a challenge in the league other than in 87. Under Pochettino we’ve actually become a side to challenge the for top 4 places. Whilst it was exciting under Redknapp we were never seriously a side who were going to be challenging for anything due to his short sighted nature towards coaching. He didn’t build for the future and it was very much here and now. Not to mention the one season we really pushed in the League he got bored half way through and thought he was going to be England manager. We have no right to be demanding titles and trophies and under Pochettino I’m still enjoying the direction the club is going trophies or no trophies, let him get on with his job and it’ll come.
That’s been the case for nearly a decade now, what is different now is that despite our financial limitations we have built a side capable of competing with the best and yet despite all of the talent we have nothing to show for it. And much of that stems from our hubris towards certain tournaments.
As Woolwich, well I couldn’t care which club it is, any club that makes top 4 a main priority has lost sight of what matters. One of the most ridiculous things I have seen in the game was Woolwich celebrating qualifying for the CL at Newcastle, it was beyond absurd. We are rapidly become Woolwich 2006-2012 and rather than raising concerns for this most clamouring for it.
The reality is the people who run Woolwich would much rather have got top 4 than an FA cup trophy last season because an FA cup isn't worth much more than a Dutch cup to a global audience , the CL is the perfect arena to keep your brand relevant to a global audience, that transmits to the manager and then the players , Woolwich will be prioritizing a top 4 finish above everything else next season. CL qualification isn't a trophy but it's still massivd.
10 years ago i hoped we'd win a cup.
Players don’t sign because a team wins the FA Cup. However if a side has CL on offer that certainly makes them a far more attractive proposition.
You can't deny that getting regular CL is one of the prerequisites of building a decent team, from both a monetary angle and a great selling point for getting better quality players...You think we could have attracted the likes of Davinson Sanchez or Lucas Moura with Europa League football?

No under Redknapp we became a side to challenge for the top 4 - I know this because we finished 4th twice in his 4 year tenure. As for building for the future well there in lies the issue at hand so many supporters are perpetually living in the future. When Levy started this ‘project’ the aim was to have a side capable of challenging the best. Well we now have this and yet the rhetoric remains. These windows of opportunities do not present themselves too often and we are already starting to see this side to break up and yet the solution is more patience? No one is staying that we have a god given right to win silverware merely that the club should be doing everything to achieve that goal. And when I see our manager state that we have higher priorities that the likes of the FA cup or league cup and when I see the board continually set CL as it’s main priority then it tells me that something is amiss here.

We attracted Modric, Eriksen, Lamela, Soldaldo, Lloris without CL football so yes. That line of argument is just one of a long line of myths that is continually presented with CL qualification.

And if still anyone brings up Redknapp again the biggest bottle job I have ever seen was losing to Portsmouth, that was on a plate and we fucked it, under Poch we are losing to Chelsea and United which some fans on here don’t understand are actually trying to win too!! It’s not all about us we aren’t Liverpool fans for fuck sake
Think you’re mistaking challenging for 4th place with challenging the top 4. Under Redknapp we scraped 4th never were we in contention for 3rd and above. As he never looked beyond that. His quote about us never having it so good, how small time was that?
