Lived in East Finchley for five years, born in Chelmsford-EF was more gooners but is pretty even now as is Muswell hill I reckon. The whole way up to barnet has a load of spurs too.

I live in Bounds Green,loads of Spurs (and rightly so).The Bounds Green/Wood Green area took a bit of a dip with us in the 90s/00s.Kids seemed to attach them selves to that lot.We are winning a new generation back though

I lived in both Wood Green and Bounds Green 8-10 years ago. Used to see loads of goon shirts around on the streets(even while they were playing!), but if you went into any of the pubs and started chatting to locals it seemed to be more Spurs than scum.
Yeah, pretty much describes it. Weird seeing blokes walking around wearing scum shirt and they are at home AND on the box.
I'm guessing that it's just as much to do with the location of the ground. WHL is in N17 by what, 200 yards most? Once you get up to the old Sainsbury's you're in Edmonton and the Borough of Enfield. Tottenham and South Tottenham are probably just as close to the Death Star. Couple of miles either way. Woolwich definitely have the most ethnically diverse group of fans in the UK - all the local afro caribbean kids seem to support the Goons. The Ian Wright effect was huge. Strong, confident, funny, media savvy black guy playing on the highest stage of European football. Massive impact as a role model.
Not quite as close to each other. I live in South Tottenham (Tottenham Hale, so very South). WHL is 1.1 miles away, Emirates 2.9 miles away, according to the internet. And it's true near the ground as well, lots of goons. I agree with you about Ian Wright though. Plus more recently, Viera, Henry etc. I think for anyone who doesn't have roots going back in the area, there is a tendency to support the more successful side, too. If you look at people who are 2nd, 3rd or 4th generation Tottenham inhabitants, a lot of them are Spurs (whatever their ethnicity).
Once you hit the Seven Sisters junction though and the N17/N15 boundary - can't be much in it surely? Feels more like a 2.5 mile walk from Seven Sisters up to the Lane for sure!! Ha ha
Apparently it's 1.5 miles to us from Seven Sisters tube station, and 2.4 miles to the scum.

Although Romford/Dagenham area is predominately Spammers, naturally enough, we are decently represented. We have a small but beautifully formed supporters' club in Malta. When I went to Uxworth (just outside Bury St Edmonds) just before Christmas, the pub was run by a Spurs supporter. To be honest, wherever I go, I usually find a Spurs supporter to talk to.
I grew up in Dalston in the 70s, about half Spurs and West Ham. Considering that the Woolwich ground (in Islington, not their real ground) ground was much closer this is surprising. I have always wondered what Spurs support would be like if they would have stayed in Woolwich. I have had a lifetime of "banter" with Woolwich fans, the one thing that really winds them up is when you point out they come from Woolwich.
We would have been huge,support wise.Of that i have no doubts

Was quite a few spurs fans at junior school, although mostly Liverpool I seem to remember. Went to secondary school in Burnt Oak/Graham Park and there were a hell of a lot of spurs in those areas.
Now live outside Stevenage and there is quite a few Spurs around here.
