Why leave a project like ours to go to a club where he would have to win the leagues and the champions just to not be fired.

what ever we say (as in the club) is irrelevant. until Madrid appoint someone else, the press will be at it.The club/levy/ Pochettino or whoever should nail this first thing tomorrow put it bed he’s going nowhere end of! Having this hanging for the next few weeks is going to be fucking awful....

I'm worried. It must be hard saying no when Real Madrid comes calling. Who knows how many more chances he'll get coaching the best team of all time. Hope he stays.
Jesus, this place is fucking mental sometimes. So I'm guess that this means nothing now?
Everyone's ecstatic and it's a sign that he's here for the long-term and he's had his assurances from Levy of his support.
All the sudden Zidane quits and he's leaving.ochfacepalm:
I’m up for a funny post an all but I’ve just been a little bit sick in my mouth
For the most part, I completely agree. His contract was to get him more money and to increase the value for him to the club, but we all know that the completion date of any contracts don't mean all that much anymore. To be fair. Signing contracts don't necessarily mean anything in the grand scheme of things besides a pay rise for Pochettino.
If Real Madrid WANTED HIM over everyone, they'll go for him.
It'd then be down to Pochettino to decide if he wants to stay and become a legend or leave for much much much more money and either the likelihood of success and trophies or failure and a tarnish to his team.
Personally, I think it's media bullshit and he'll stay.

That being said, he literally signed it a week ago today. Could it happen? Sure, but this is media shit-stirring, and I don't believe that it is in Poch's character to even entertain it.
I know what you mean about contracts, Totti, but in this particular case I just don't see Poch signing that new deal literally days before the CL final (which was already raising doubts over Zidane's future if he'd lost it) unless he's genuinely set on being here and continuing the project rather than anywhere else.To be fair. You misunderstand Marca, they're not "Madrid’s mouth piece", they're just very well connected. They have a hack in the RM press office, just like they have one in Atleti's and probably Barça's as well (they're not anti either of those clubs you'll be surprised to hear, unlike their counterparts Sport and El Mundo Deportivo in Barcelona)Real Madrid: Pochettino is Real Madrid's main target to replace Zidane - MARCA in English
Marca - Madrid’s mouth piece going with Poch

Reminds me a bit of when the FA fucked around with Harry. I remember thrashing Newcastle 5-0 and the ground singing for Pardew for England. Main difference this time is that I don't think Poch will leave at all. Or be in court covering his arse from accusations of fraud. Or signing Ryan Nelson. So actually it's not really in any way similar.
Only similarity is that Pardew has 0% chance of either job.
God I miss WHL.
As you were.
Me too.
I was there that night. I don’t get to many games, so that one sticks in the memory vividly.
As for Pochettino, he’s obviously not stupid. He’s seen how Madrid have performed in Spain, and even took 4 points off Zidane’s team in person. He would have known that there was a high probability of the Madrid job becoming available, so if he was interested would he really sign a new contract with us?
The Madrid job is a poisoned chalice. Maybe in ten years he’ll fancy spending 2-3 years on the Madrid managerial merry go round, but he’s in a great position right now and he knows it. Madrid will be looking for a new manager every other year or so, so it’s not as if this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
