Got a colleague supporting Germany because her great granddad or whatever was German. UK passport, nearly all English family, lives in England whole life - obviously. Funny to watch it backfire spectacularly.

He's been really impressive, wouldn't be the right fit for us if he can't play the ball out from the back. I don't know if he can or can't do this just that I haven't seen it during this World Cup, the only time I've ever seen him play.
 
Don't know about you but I'm thoroughly enjoying the bitter seething coming from Scotland, Ireland, Wales and Liverpool. I wish I was in England to experience it first hand but even second-hand via the information superhighway it's still wonderful entertainment

The truth is: you are just imagining the bitter seething. We couldn't give a fuck. We've seen this all before and we know how it plays out.
 
Proud of all the Spurs players last night. Davinson Sanchez for playing exceptionally well and keeping his cool, Harry Kane for being Harry Kane, Dele for not getting involved in some of the uglier scenes, Trippier for his excellent penalty and Dier for having the bottle to be the last penalty taker. As someone said in the café this morning (and I don't know what team they support) ' Spurs players got us through'.

Anyone still left thinking Southgate is a boring yes man? He been class since the day fat Sam got caught drinking pints of white wine. He hasn't put a foot wrong and can only say I've been totally impressed with almost every word he has uttered. Class.
