Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Poch: "First of all I don't know if the fans were happy or not happy because I don't follow social media. I think it's so important to clarify. I know now that talk about ego is a negative expression in England, maybe in other countries we talk about it being more superficial."

"It's because in the past I've been asked if winning a domestic cup will help the club to the next level. To win a Carabao Cup or FA Cup reach the next level, I cannot agree. Only I wanted to say how well we've progressed in recent years."

"I want to win cups. I'm not naive. It's tough for me because after 3/4 seasons we're always talking about the cups. I want to build my CV winning titles of course. I'm the first who wants to win. I think in the last five years we've played in four semi-finals and one final."

"If you ask me how to be in the next level it's improving our structure, the way we operate, the squad, the facilities. We tick almost all boxes. The fans that aren't happy, with perspective in the future they will appreciate everything everyone is doing for this football club."

This guy is amazing and our dumbass fans are gonna run him off.

At least Klopp agrees with Poch

Klopp on Pochettino’s assertion top-4 is more important than cups “We need money for improving a football team. I know people probably didn’t like what Poch said but best competition to win is the @premierleague. Other competitions don’t generate same money.”

"The best competition to win is the PL. The top four is so important because it guarantees you the money for the following year."

That last line from Mauricio says it all:

"The fans that aren't happy, with perspective in the future they will appreciate everything everyone is doing for this football club."

Personally I'd rather the petulant fans that didn't support the club as it should have during its growth phase fuck off. They shouldn't be allowed the satisfaction of when it all comes together as they constantly belittled the club they apparently support when it was trying to grow as a unit. They should be ashamed of themselves IMO as it's clearly a challenging time for the club and that's when a supporter should be there the most

Coming from the same posters who are blaming Poch for a lack of signings and trophies. You have to laugh to keep from crying.

Who’s blamed him for a lack of signings?

I’ve been saying for years this squad is good enough to win the PL when fit and in form. (Pre Dembele sale)

Never blamed the policy or lack of signings for not winning the Carabou, I blamed Pochs tinkering.

Big difference there, back to the drawing board for you....as the man said, grow some perspective

When have I blamed the club for a lack of trophies or signings? Anyone that knows me as a poster knows I'm a staunch backer of the model we currently have on the whole.

Stop with the snide comments pal, totally out of line cherry picking and not reflecting who I am as a poster on this forum just to suit your own agenda

He’s just jumped on probably two of the most hardcore supporters of last summers transfer window to make his “point”

DOH!

This is what he basically said/meant the other night, but apparently some football supporters (not just Spurs, everywhere) and some in the media make it their job to be purposely thick in this regard, so he has to clarify something that he has been saying for 4.5 years.

Poch telling John, Scott, Bill, Skywalker etc that they lack perspective.

Ouch

Read between those lines you fucking idiots
