Match Tottenham Hotspur v Ajax, Champions League Semi-Final, Tue 30th April

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Physioroom compile the best quotes from manager interviews....

On Sissoko’s groin: “Maybe for the next two weeks, we hope he can recover before, but I am not so optimistic.”

On Wink’s groin: “We don’t know, it is a problem that is one day very good, next day not very good, it is about assessing each day. We hope he will be available for Tuesday but we are not sure.”

On Kane’s ankle: “We need to assess him every day. Today it is impossible to give a date. He suffered a similar injury last time and that took five weeks.”

On Lamela’s latest fantasy malaise: “Undergoing assessment.”

On Serge’s hamstring: “Continuing rehabilitation and conditioning at Training Centre.”

The trust??

Instead of slaging the trust why don't you join them and show them how you'd do better.

Doubt you will though, easier to be a clever fuck on the internet

What annoys me about today is all the cunts just taking up space. Not a thought in their head about going to Brighton or Huddlesfield but as soon as this game comes up they're on it.

Seriously thinking about queuing at the physical ticket office if this continues. Opens 30mins earlier. I'll fucking sleep there if need be. Anyone here do that?
They should go back to this if they don't fix the queueing issue

Good point, is anyone (without a ticket) planning to watch it somewhere IN Tottenham? Just to be 'in amongst it' like!
People travel ABROAD without tickets Just to be in the same CITY as their team..m surely the pubs around White Hart Lane will be HEAVING too??
I didn't manage to get a ticket (same issues as everyone else yesterday and today) but my cousin and I are still travelling down.

Any suggestions for pubs or bars near the stadium where we can watch the game?

They've just replied to me:

Thank you for your email.

Tickets are sold on a first come first served basis. A person in the queue at 9AM will be placed ahead of a person in the queue at 9.30AM.

Kind regards,

I've asked Jon why i was kicked out of the ticketing site despite being in there logged on

I was viewing west ham tickets on ticket exchange and going back to main ticketing page etc so at no point was broswer idle...
I done the same and was chucked off at 9:45

'Jon' is telling porkies.

You dont think Im entitled to support Spurs because I live In another country?

Ive lived trough all the agony from George Graham, and Christian Gross to Andy Booth and Rasiak. Watch every game, and listen to every episode of the fighting cock. I certainly feel like a fan but im sorry I dont live in London.
Welcome to the forum hope you have a great time at the game. People should be directing their ire at the club not at you.

Lets hope we get to the Ajax game without further injury concern is number one.

It's no doubt been written already but our likely team will have 5 players who started in last year's world cup semi-finals and maybe 7 if you extend to the squads.

While it is an amazing feat I hope it serves as motivation for the 4 or 6 who did not go on to taste World cup success.

The whole system is a joke. Thousands jumped the ST queue (which I've been on for 10 years) because they were happy to pay for a ST to Wembley. Then you've got a stadium which holds 25000 more people but there's the same amount or fewer tickets for members (around 7k at present) despite having 160k members apparently. You have a + membership which offers you fuck all - I've never once got a ticket on the priority day. There's also the option to purchase a membership once you're in the ticket page ffs - anyone can get one any time. Finally, no loyalty. I amassed hundreds of points as a member, doing away trips to horrible grounds all over the place 7-10 years ago when I was old enough to afford my own tickets etc. Even now I'm at the shitty home games such as Huddersfield but it means nothing because anyone can rock up for Ajax. Fuck off Spurs.
To be fair though it was well advertised that anyone buying a ST at Wembley would get one at the new stadium, if you had been in the queue for 10 years why didn’t you take the opportunity of getting one at Wembley? Not trying to start an argument just curious as if you had been on the waiting list for 10 years surely you wanted a ST so would have taken one when offered?

Thanks a lot for all the good advice and encouraging messages. The plan at the moment is to do some sightseeing and then get to Tottenham early in the afternoon to soak the atmosphere. Will definetly go to the coach and horses for a pint. Are there any other pubs around the stadium a Spurs fan should visit?

I would like to say that I have full understanding for the frustration fans, who frequently go games, feel when they cant get a ticket to a game like this. For me it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I couldnt have forgiven myself for not trying to get a ticket. In my opinion there should absolutely be some kind of system in place that rewards loyal supporters with maybe a small amout of tickets reserved for foreign supporters like me who dont really have the opportunity to be loyal.

I promise you all I will not take a single selfie during the game and to sing and support the team the best I can. Next season when both me and my wife work again and the family economy is a bit better I will make my second trip to the Lane. That time i will bring my son (six years old) with me in an effort to make him a yiddo (at the moment he supports Barca and jut about every other team except for the scum, that I wont allow).

Da fuck???? ....Seriously?

Evidently, you have just as much chance as the next person to be 'loyal'.

I don't begrudge you a ticket (i've already posted as much) but frankly bollocks to you if you think you've got it coming to ya in some way!

Tactless, if not rather entitled aren't we?

"I would like to say that I have full understanding for the frustration fans, who frequently go games, feel when they cant get a ticket to a game like this. "

Evidently, you don't.

You want special tourist allocated tickets ring-fenced? Go buy a package from Thomas Cook.... That's exactly what they're for.
