If our former Ajax players can’t get themselves up for the semi final of the CL then they need to find new careers. Whether they stay after this season or move on to pastures new, they may never get this close to bagging the big one again.
I have no worries that they won’t be up for this whatsoever.
Bigger worry is how threadbare we are looking.

Between you and me, I'm wearing my lucky Spurs pants today - they were clean and ready for Saturday but I didn't wear them then for fear of diluting their special powers, but they're on now - so you see there's very little to worry about.
I'm in a work meeting in Bristol this afternoon but I have a hunch that my phone will go at 4pm with a 'family emergency' that I have to deal with. Fingers crossed the M4 & M25 are playing ball - I'm channelling Nutter Naylor for that bit.
Whatever happens, enjoy tonight Paddy (and everyone) - football nights like these don't come too often.

Caution right there.

It's a 50:50 call for me.

Our injuries and suspension to Son definitely hand the advantage to Ajax in my opinion but what we don't yet know is how both teams will react to such a big match.

Where I think we are fortunate is that Pochettino can probably guess the Ahax team and how they will seek to play. Ours is much less predictable.

Three things intetest me in terms of our line-up.

Is it Llorente, a back 5 or 2 defensive midfielders?

Depending on Llorente and Moura to propel us towards the CL final was probably the last thing on anybody’s mind either.
 
The day is here. Nerves are kicking in. However, I console myself that nothing can be as nerve-wracking as the City away tie.


This is the biggest game for us in generations. Though we may be missing some of our key men and main goal threat, I really expect EVERYONE in that team to step up tonight. Play as if your lives depend on it. 110%, no 130%!

A lot of our players will never experience a chance like this again and I want them to embrace it. I expect WHL will be rocking. The fans will drive us on!


If we give our best, whatever the result that's all we ask.

I was dreaming about this match the whole night. Alternating between glory and utter disappointment.

I don't know how my poor heart is going to survive this one...
