Then my suspicions are similar but your statement was ambiguous as to which side was 'dubious', the folks viewing our recruitment with a jaundiced eye or the actual work. Here, you suggest it's the work which is not typical of your stance with matters.
Not so. If you dig about, on a scouting level you'll see me often make similar comments... Much like (in a certain sense), I occasionally mourn the lack of Europa League for it's ability to help us break in players.
(I'm not as much of a happy clapper as lazy stereotyping suggests. It's repetitive moaning/negativity and faux-experts that get's my back up generally. Not criticism or differing opinions.... Similarly, I actually openly admit where my knowledge-base is lacking.)
You can see how that could easily be misconstrued by the reading public. But now that you have cleared that up I admit to very similar concerns and views.
I'm not infallible on this front... Far from the worst either tho'.
I'm dyslexic so think I generally do pretty damn well handling myself in written form, tbh!
I did. I don't consider the source I consider the sentiment. And, like you,I also believe we missed a great opportunity to build and not have to re-build. Unfortunate.
Despite your recent accusations; I'm not so dis-similar.
Yes, I 'like' this post but I didn't 'agree' with it (entirely). I got no time for 'hype'. Parodoxically, I would feel somewhat reassured (about scouting if alternatives weren't cheapies for sake of saving money) if I heard names off the beaten path. I feel nothing that Poch wasted all summer going after De Jong who was never gonna be a longterm solution for us. It was ego and there were others around that could have helped us.
'Hot', 'hyped', 'fancied prospects'.... Call 'em what you will. I sense you largely got my gist. Good enough for starters....
No? ...Not even a little bit? .....That cheeky dig below your avatar is just my imagination is it?
