Transfers Summer 2019 transfer thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Honestly, there's no point in trying to reason with the outspoken ape. He's made his mind up, despite all evidence to the contrary. The waste of space simply won't admit he's in the wrong. Just learn to laugh at him and don't take him seriously...nobody else does!
The shame is he is on a growing list of posters who I now tend to scroll past because I have a good idea what the content of their posts will contain.
When I do stop and read he sometimes posts some decent stuff but its usually clouded by this silly agenda or arguing the toss with someone who disagrees.
I usually keep my opinion to myself and move on but got fed up with it this morning.

Wanyama is fucked, Dier isn’t trusted anymore. That leaves Winks and Sissoko as our only midfielders. Ndombele isn’t a replacement for anyone, he’s a necessity

Ok, fair do’s, my remark was more tongue in cheek, but Dier and Wanyama are different midfielders to NDombele, he’s not upgrading them, he’s upgrading the job Sissoko is supposed to do as a 6/8 hybrid or 8.

And according to many our RB situation was even worse. Trippier is garbage, Aurier can’t even usurp him and KWP is “not ready”. There are plenty of people on here throughout this season and still saying that RB should be a priority.

But even though we’ve signed a midfielder, we are still prioritising more midfielders it seems. And rightly imo.

I can't even be bothered to scroll past them. I just stick them on ignore.

If i see a random post saying something like 'shut up you cunt' i can normally guess who it is aimed at out of a group of 4 or 5 of the usual suspects,

I thought Lewis Dunk was an absolute beast for Brighton against us and easily their man of the match, he won practically everything in the air that went near him.

He's been involved with England squads etc. if it's going to be £45m, I'd imagine Leicester have got a bigger fee coming for Maguire from United.

(He's also contracted to 2023)

Agree with that - but also there are not too many good RBs around atm, probably why we ended up with Aurier 2 years ago - and little point in spending lots of money to get someone little better than Trippier or Aurier, and a reason why Poch us prepared to try out Foyth in that position.

Hope he trys out KWP with a run of games, Eyoma is s decent defender but not good at going up and down the line, next up could be Hinds who is a decent enough RB at u21' level but probably no better than KWP. So lots of options, but no immediate world beaters amongst them.

I would imagine that he will probably sign for Woolwich now if it's true that they have matched our offer.
Possibly. No clue what personal terms we offered him compared to Woolwich. Or if we wouldn't be willing to loan him back for the year and he really wants to stay until 2020.

In the end this may just be a bit embarrassing for Woolwich and a little more money out of their meager transfer kitty.

I think it’s all up in the air with the Eriksen situation, but if he leaves we certainly need another attacking midfielder, would be a bonus if he can play deeper also.

I still think we are weak at right back and if a player becomes available that would improve that area, that is the player I would class as most important.

Today's main headlines:

“After surveying the market, Real Madrid have come to the conclusion that they can't find better players than Ceballos at a reasonable price.”

"TOBY ALDERWEIRELD'S move to Roma is reportedly set to collapse as Spurs chairman Daniel Levy won't budge on the £25m fee. "

We should buy Eriksen s replacement now irrespective of whether he leaves now or next summer. If Poch has identified that player then get him in now.
