Yeah, I remember. It was a mess at the time. It was during sanchez' first year at the club. He was injured so didn't play. I don't think it was about him refusing to. He did play for his country at the time though, like I said. Something pissed off the club it seemed? Dunno?

Yeh, he didn't refuse to play; quite the opposite... We said he wasn't fit (and there were rumblings of discontent from TAs camp), Martinez said he was.... And subsequently played him.

The summer after that season was the man u transfer talk from all and sundry. I wonder whether that had a part to play? Prue speculation on my part but he was being linked to man u the entire window.

Isn't that why the moaner was sacked in fact, because the club didn't get him a cb?

My reading of that would have been more that Jose wanted TA; but Utd said "...but we just spent 80m-odd on Lindeloff & Bailey... Coach them".

Rather than do so, Jose true to form provoked 'civil war' instead and made his position untenable.

Silly bugger must realise that whatever credibility he does have is being eroded by his perpertually shoe-horning his Sissoko-agenda into every post.

There are others here that don't rate MS, yet opt not to make a mockery of themselves over it.
