You called our window "average" which implies a relationship to other windows. Is our window "average" compared to other EPL teams? Or is it "average" in relation to our prior windows (in which case this seems to be well above average)?

I understand that we should not sign players for fun, but really there should always be a healthy if limited amount of long term signings each season to prevent this kind of deadline day blackmail. Utd not being able to agree a contract with a 33 yo croat striker is just tragic.

I'm in the middle here. They would all be brilliant signings but when you realise that they're just replacements for outgoing players and then were still on course to lose Toby, Jan and Eriksen for nothing in the next year things don't look so bright.

To be honest I'm slightly dissapointed that we didn't get Dybala and a RB, but it's not the end of the world. In comparison to other windows, this has been a decent one. If we sign alot of players it doesn't mean that it's a good window (see 2013).Acceptance stage.......
If we get Lo Celso and Sessegnon across its a great window. We are turning over the squad and resetting the age curve. Wed have bought 2 of the best young midfielders in the world at (reportedly) good prices while buying 2 home grown big talents for the future. That should be the plan every summer. It is unlikely in the future though that we will be able to pull talents like ndombele and lo celso. They are both that good.
