We're still short in midfield and attack
6/10 window for me. Still an improvement from 0/10 last summer.

We're still short in midfield and upfront to compete on all fronts. You called our window "average" which implies a relationship to other windows. Is our window "average" compared to other EPL teams? Or is it "average" in relation to our prior windows (in which case this seems to be well above average)?
I think everyone is very happy with those 3, just worried about both full back positions and forward depth considering our sales and potentially Eriksen/Rose/Toby/AurierFunny how people are saying that we had an average window now just because we didn't sign Dybala. If you told me after the UCL final that we would sign Ndombele, Sessegnon and Lo Celso I would've been more than happy.
I'm fine with us not signing a right back. Let's give KWP a real chance and have Aurier as back up. Might not work but Poch has history of improving fbs so lets see what he can do.
It is unlikely in the future though that we will be able to pull talents like ndombele and lo celso. They are both that good.
I was agreeing with youWe shall see. Think poch is a bit unsure of the company going off interviews. & the company have had trouble in the last few windows at least. Also many have said Woolwich don't know what they are doing for letting players run down their contracts until the last year. But we seem to have started to do it now as well. Lets agree to disagree.
The Dybala thing really did a number on me, I'm still struggling to come to terms with the reality.
I mean City had Walker and they won the title back-to-back years so it clearly didn't effect them.Any outside chance we had of challenging City is gone without having signed a top quality right back.
We are not short in midfield, we have signed two midfielders this summer. We're still short in midfield and upfront to compete on all fronts.
This window was an opportunity to build a team that could challenge for title. As it stands, we're still 20+points behind City.
Eriksen, Alli, Lucas, Son, Sessegnon and Lamela all competing for the attacking midfield positions.
N'dombele, Lo Celso, Winks, Sissoko and Dier all competing for the midfield spots.
Pretty damn decent.
There's certainly going to be a lot of utter bullshit excuses to justify the complete and utter screw job by Levy again.
You know ...I've noticed you're quite quick to criticise when it's anything negative regarding Levy but you rarely voice your opinion as to what you think will happen so I will put these questions to you. Do you think we will sign:
Lo Celso?
Bruno Fernandes?
Dybala?
Coutinho?
Sessegnon?
Also do you think we will sell Eriksen and/or Toby before the European transfer window closes?
I would as well tbh...but none of this is happening. That's the sad thing about it and this Coutinho 'news all but confirms it.
We've been done over yet again, thanks Levy.
Chances of us selling Eriksen and getting no one in are at about 100% imo
I don't get why we are all hoping this???
It's unlikely we are bringing anyone in so we want to handicap Poch even more by not having Eriksen to count on?
This is the first year I have ever tunned into a deadline day! I still don't get it. I don't get what is "exciting" it's just like Christmas shopping with every store you visit is playing an identical playlist. This whole transfer window/deadline day has become far too commercial and quite frankly, utterly boring.
