Is what it is but let's get real these are Euro bums
No it wasn't. Dier began at DM in Poch's 2nd year, the Leicester year. Persisting with the experiment beyond the next year when we had Wanyama instead of bringing in another proper MFer is what coincided with the stagnation.
if you watched the game closely dier was the first midfielder to collect the ball in the middle from defense he then slots in the middle to sure up the defense very much needed sissoko ndembele lo celso love going foward we need protection for our defense.I'm not arguing that we shouldn't have a 6/DM, just that playing someone who isn't very good at it isn't the answer.
He put in the effort though so he should be applauded.Dele had the best view of the 5 goals.
Near perfect for me, Serge was impressive, Dele should do better hopefully in the coming weeks.I've criticised Poch, but tonight's selection was perfect.
May have been mentioned already but how come Red Star fans? Thought they were banned?
235 delegates200 'invited' guests or something like that apparently.
I was trying to work out exactly what Sissoko was up to. He basically played as a DM but dropped into the back 4, to replace anyone that moved forward.
It worked. He didn't try and overplay anything.
There's something there.
In Dier's first season with us Dier started at RB but was 'training' as CB and stayed away from the U21s in order to concentrate on CB. In Poch's 2nd season as manager Dier was put at DM. and IIRC their time with is is the same, no?Dier began at right back innit
And Tanguy?Kane and Lamela men of the match for me (and for the Spanish commentators who were hugely complimentary), Sonny and Aurier just behind. Props to Davies and Sánchez. Thoroughly enjoyable evening
