Only 1 player in the last 20 years has been irreplaceable from a playing perspective and he's still playing at that team rumored to have interest in Harry. That said, from a sentimental perspective he is irreplaceable to us.
People laughed when Coutinho left Pool. People laughed when Hazard left Chelsea. How did that work out for them? A balanced team is always better than one dominated by 1 or 2 individuals.

Good point. Rondon was available this summer and we missed out. We need to adjust and stop thinking Striker = goals.
He's hurt and won't be back until end of November I think. I don't do much Serie A except the odd Fiorentina game so I'm not the best to answer for you. That's the chap....

Yup. Not sure we need a Babel considering Moura doesn't even get a game but I was all in on the Rondon train and felt he'd be better for us in some games than Harry. I was think most especially about the games where we didn't have control like yesterday and the CL final. He is a threat in behind and stronger than any CB in the PL unlike Harry.Rondon and I'll go there and say it, Ryan Babel was on a free. Not the most glamorous of signings but surely he'd have been decent as a backup wouldn't he?

Yeah, but Rondon is way too mobile to be considered a target man. He is as much facilitator as striker. He was all over the field for NUFC. I've wanted him since he went to Russia and was angry WBA got him so cheap. I think he was a misunderstood player.I'm wary of the big target man to lump it to tactics but I do think that at this moment it would add something to a team limping along unnecessarily. Not replacing Trippier was just moronic and a team the size of Spurs having a striker in Llorente move on and not replacing him also smacks of recklessness.
Come the transfer window is Daniel really going to give Poch a wad of money to buy more 'wine bottle' players ? By that expression I mean ones ( that according to the manager) won't mature for at least another 18 months and are best left on the shelf until then ??

Five thought he was a lump too until he watched him at my behest. he changed his mind. His athleticism (mobility and pace) puts Harry's to shame. He's just big but not immobile.
Well we have a few here now who are definitely 'corked' and alas only a couple of truly superb vintages.
Exactly where my thoughts went.

We did make some signings recently, you just don't see them until the last ten minutes. As I said before, they are maturing on the bench. That's not Levy's fault surely ?We ain't signing shit in January of even next summer, this summer should be enough for you all to realise that this champions league adventure is done..
Levy got his stadium and could not give a fuck about the team as he has shown over and over..and look where we are now.
Lucky to get into the top 10 this season
