Good point. Rondon was available this summer and we missed out. We need to adjust and stop thinking Striker = goals.Then again, consider our track record when buying STs.

Rondon and I'll go there and say it, Ryan Babel was on a free. Not the most glamorous of signings but surely he'd have been decent as a backup wouldn't he?
Yup. Not sure we need a Babel considering Moura doesn't even get a game but I was all in on the Rondon train and felt he'd be better for us in some games than Harry. I was think most especially about the games where we didn't have control like yesterday and the CL final. He is a threat in behind and stronger than any CB in the PL unlike Harry.
I'm wary of the big target man to lump it to tactics but I do think that at this moment it would add something to a team limping along unnecessarily. Not replacing Trippier was just moronic and a team the size of Spurs having a striker in Llorente move on and not replacing him also smacks of recklessness.

I'm with you, I thought he was a decent player worth looking at . Mentioned him on a transfer thread a year or two ago we definitely could have done with him in our ranks.

We did make some signings recently, you just don't see them until the last ten minutes. As I said before, they are maturing on the bench. That's not Levy's fault surely ?

He tore his meniscus unfortunately. He has really had a tough run since he has left Bologna. At Napoli he had some games that really highlighted his strengths, but he has really had a tough go so would be more of a wait and see type deal for me.
