All gone a bit quiet regarding Luis Campos? If he came in I think it would be time to really get excited. Anyone seen or heard anything else since the week Jose joined? Would also almost guarantee the Soumare signing.
Problem is that Campos has a contract that gives him a % of the fee they receive for players he scouted. It might entice him to stay until after the next summer window.

From what I understand he works as a consultant for Milan whilst being Lille's sporting director.

So no reason that he could at least do that for us as well. But in my head it was always unreasonable to expect him to leave Lille just before a transfer window. If he comes over full time it will be in the spring.

Adama Traore is probably the fastest player in the league and the best dribbler.

But im not sure Jose is the guy who can take him to the next level. He has improved leaps and bounds under Nuno though. He was unreal against us.

He'd definitely get the crowd off their feet though. Exciting player

Just seen these two absolute nuggets of release clauses. I love Troy Parrott as much as the next man, but we could do with another ready made striking option and the price makes it a no brainer, also we need a DM right?

Erling Haaland
Haaland is having a remarkable season, and he has scored 28 goals in 22 appearances so the striker is one of football’s most sought-after teenagers.
The striker is valued at around £80million but any interested club can begin negotiations with the attacker if they part ways with £17million due to his release clause.
Red Bull Salzburg are expected to receive multiple bids for him in January with Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus all interested in the 19-year-old

Thomas Partey
While Partey’s £43.5 million release clause may be the most expensive price on this list, but that figure is remarkably cheap for a player of his calibre.
The midfielder is an undisputed first choice starter in Diego Simeone’s team at Atletico Madrid and that’s some achievement.
His performances saw him linked with moves to Manchester United and Woolwich in the summer but surprisingly nobody activated the clause and Partey is still in Madrid.

Timo Werner has also got an afforable release clause. Take him out of that Leipzig side before our Chl meeting

If there is a transfer rumor... United will be linked.

Rumour that Hertha Berlin are interested in Victor Wanyama which if it goes through would be major win for us - atm he occupies one of the maximum 17 Overseas trained places in squad, so would free up one Overseas Trained places.

Without this deal going through 90%+ of the rumours on this thread couldn't happen !

Haaland (Raiola is an adviser) would demand that any deal to bring him here would also have a release clause. Non-starter imo.

Wouldn't underestimate the value of our players judging him after playing against him. Plenty of similar examples before (like Ronaldo with Man United).

IMO Traore is raw (though less so than when Wolves signed him) and the time to buy would be now before he adds another string to his bow and goes out of our price range.

Second only in stupidness after the "he had a great Euros" is the "he was great against us" rationale for buying players.

It's how Poch ended up spunking 55m up the wall in fees and wages on Sissoko.

The only upside is that now Poch is gone, we won't see Traore played as a DM cause he's a fucking unit and whatnot.
