From what I understand he works as a consultant for Milan whilst being Lille's sporting director.
So no reason that he could at least do that for us as well. But in my head it was always unreasonable to expect him to leave Lille just before a transfer window. If he comes over full time it will be in the spring.
I'm really impressed by Birminghams Jude Bellingham. Only 16 years of age but already an influential first teamer. No doubt in my mind he'll be a future star. Sign him up in a loan-back deal!

Adama Traore is probably the fastest player in the league and the best dribbler.
But im not sure Jose is the guy who can take him to the next level. He has improved leaps and bounds under Nuno though. He was unreal against us.

This is probably why he works as a consultant for a fair deal of clubs, rather than as the outright sporting director.
Kind of like how Pleat gets a fee for anyone we sign that he has brought to us.

Rumour that Hertha Berlin are interested in Victor Wanyama which if it goes through would be major win for us - atm he occupies one of the maximum 17 Overseas trained places in squad, so would free up one Overseas Trained places.

Wouldn't underestimate the value of our players judging him after playing against him. Plenty of similar examples before (like Ronaldo with Man United).
IMO Traore is raw (though less so than when Wolves signed him) and the time to buy would be now before he adds another string to his bow and goes out of our price range.

I am still going with- he will never be a top level player - worth a punt at a decent price but not one I think would come off. Makes me laugh that he came through at Barca, bet they had no idea what to do with him.

Second only in stupidness after the "he had a great Euros" is the "he was great against us" rationale for buying players.
It's how Poch ended up spunking 55m up the wall in fees and wages on Sissoko.
