Which is just fine, Llorente at 27ish, just before he went to Juve, was fucking awesome. We should have signed him, it was all set up, pre-season friendly with Bilbao at the Lane as part of the deal, Levy baulked at the fee at the last minute
We won't be paying anything like €70 million tho, I'd guess around €35-40 million. Not a bad return for La Real who paid €12m.William Jose is okay.
Definitely not worth the money but that's the price you pay when you say you need a striker and have pretty much said as much in the media.
Weird we'd be willing to go for him over Piatek, who's cheaper though and 4 years younger.
I think that’s what someone on here said, although I listened to statsbomb pod and I didn’t remember it?
That's alright, then. We can pay them off over the next 30 years or so. Everyone's a winner.Only possible hitch is that they are fine financially and don't need the money that urgently
You were warned about this. Some very youthful and handsome, tactically astute, and generally insightful person tried to sway your easily impressionable self away from the shiny objects BC. They tried their hardest to focus your attention to the bigger aspects of the game, in general, and his game, in particular. I wonder if you still see a future for him at LW or if you've come closer to the "LB is his best shot" camp?
I'll have to look him up.You’ve missed out ‘as good as Adam Martin who scored 3 in an England trial but never got in, for some reason’ (1985 if you wanted to know)
Exactly this, I hope the rumors are correct that Jose really pushed to get William Jose in particularWilliam Jose is okay.

He was a school friend... absolute arse to play against. You know, the one who was so much better than everyone else....
Ya, I didn't mean the comparison negatively. It's perfectly fine. €50m seems like alot for a 28 year old above average target man, though.Which is just fine, Llorente at 27ish, just before he went to Juve, was fucking awesome. Here's some more vague assurances. I swear I didn't just make this up!I think that’s what someone on here said, although I listened to statsbomb pod and I didn’t remember it?
I would say avoid tweeners at all cost and get 2 actual practitioners of both positions. But he is young and we know that's your thing. But again, that wasn't my point and you know it.Personally I still prefer him as a forward player, it’s where he’s always been best, and I would rather buy a LB.
Yeah, we had one like that. Was also dating one of the best looking sorts on the estate and at our school. He was a school friend... absolute arse to play against. You know, the one who was so much better than everyone else....
And you're the same cunt who moans about hoofball. This Willian Jose interest makes the no interest (presumed) in Rondon all the more frustrating. Only 1 year in it age wise and we had significantly more PL data on Rondon as a player, person and a teammate. Baffling what we could accomplish with a pro-active approach instead of the constant penny-pinching reactive one.
WTF are you talking about? Rondon is more than a target man though I bet his strength is beyond that of any striker in the PL. He made his name at Malaga, not hoofball merchants. And NUFC's best work was the interplay between Almiron, rondon, and Perez...not hoofball. Just because AVB did Pulis a favor doesn't make Rondon an old school forward. He would have also given us play in behind which Harry does not.
