Match Tottenham Hotspur v Man City (2/2/2020)(4.30pm)

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I know there are the detractors who say our players are shit but I really believe that we have the guys to beat City tomorrow. So long as Lo Celso gets a start..
Just need Jose to earn his money and sort out the tactics.

I must be used to London prices, as that sounds about right to me. Six quid for a sandwich in the City doesn't make me blink any more, and I regularly shell out £60 for a theatre ticket.
Mind you, even I baulked at £178 for The Pet Shop Boys at the O2 - that was for one seat up in the gods. They're good, but not THAT good.

That's outrageous... But presemably somewhat driven by the band as the average gig there isn't that expensive.

Cannot imagine starting winks ahead of ndombele if he is fit. Winks has had 3 seasons now and hasnt improved. In fact I still think his best ever game was vs Madrid in the cl when he was just breaking through. Not good enough. Reasonable squad player but that is it.

Would take a classic Jose 1 nil win.

Well when you have injuries, that's when you play squad members, duh.

Players that will almost certainly start: Lloris, Alderweireld, Aurier, Son, Dele
Players that have a higher chance of starting than being on the bench: Sanchez, Ndombele, Lo Celso, Lucas and Tanganga

Bergwijn won't start (even though it would be spectacular), but I believe he will come on as a substitute

If we lose tomorrow that will be 3 out of 3 homes games we've lost against big 6 sides since Mourinho has been here. Poch only ever lost 6 and only ever 1 actually in Tottenham.

Roy Hodgson or Sam Allardyce would have least had made us difficult to beat and defensively well organised by now but the Special One hasn't even managed that. He needs to start earning his considerable salary.

We played them at the Etihad without Kane last season and had sooooo many chances that Son and Lucas wasted. We will get chances.

We just have to be clinical. City are not exactly in a great moment themselves.

The appt was just another big payday for Mourinho. I Don't think he really cares about the club tbh. His style is ten years behind. I for one never wanted him at the club. He's not improved the team at all !!

I think you are forgetting just how shit we were for most of 2019.

We are still not great but the team has stabilised. I don’t think it’s possible for us to lose a game 7-2 now. Anyone who thinks we are terrible now must have scrubbed their memory of the first 12 games. The home games against Watford, Newcastle and Sheffield United were three of the worst performances I have ever seen. At least we have more than 2 shots on target in most games now.

If we take our chances then there's no reason we can't put up a decent fight.

Problem is, Son and Moura have been so incredibly wasteful in the last few games..... Not shots that go straight to the keeper, but shots that ended up in row z which indicates a serious lack of form.

Tomorrow would be a great time for them to discover form..... Especially as whatever has gone before and however bad we've been.
..... these next 6 weeks are the ones that will define our season.

A few Spurs fans I know outside of TFC can't stand Jose because they loved Poch and think our performances are terrible now but were acceptable earlier in the season despite being equally as shit imo! I don't know how anyone can defend the Newcastle, Brighton and Munich performances regardless of what they think of Mourinho.
