Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

True it's shit ATM but this is still better then the crap Poch served up his last 12
Is it?

Is it more consistent? Yes and that's a good thing
Are we achieving points in the PL? Yes, that obvious.
Are we entertaining? F*ck no.

I do see us having better mental strength but I can't help but think that we are putting fingers in the dyke until we are able to get the players we Jose wants.

It was a poor performance yes but the manager can only put out the team from what’s available and let’s face it the present team is mostly either not good enough, off form or not fit enough so ANY manager in charge would struggle

I hate losing to these cunts so I’m major pissed off
Lampard had to play Alonso, Barkley and Giroud today (these players barely get any mins for them). and they still played us off the park.

Leipzig was without three of their first choice CB's (all of whom you would have never heard of on the account they might not be individual top tier players). Naglesmann then played a kid on loan from Chelsea's academy who didn't look out of place as they played us off the park.

EVERY team suffers injuries, it's part of the game. We've suffered them too in the past. But have you noticed one thing, us in the past NEVER moaned about the injuries, same too with Lampard and Naglesmann. The reason for this is they play a defined system, it's the system that's the playmaker, NOT the individuals.

Yes, players are better than others, so when you lose Kane you will miss something but the system allows you to play Son in his place and the result was we didn't miss Kane. Lampard didn't miss Kante, and Naglesmann didn't miss his 3 defenders!

The pain of not having a striker is something we will live with every time we play for the rest of this season. So frustrating, this was totally avoidable.

Tell Levy to sell up and let someone with ambition to take over we’ve all had enough. 8th richest club in the world and no strikers and a team that don’t care, brilliant. #LevyOut

Just to be very clear, do people think if we had Giroud or Ighalo up top today we would have won?

Not a loaded question, my opinion is that it would have made little to no difference but I’m interested to hear other thoughts.

We are going to come out and smash these, high tempo, high press. pepper their goal and win 3-1.

Then I woke up and realized it's not 2017 any more and we are now largely shit.

2-0 stroll for Chelsea written all over this. We will be lucky to trouble the keeper.

I pretty much nailed this at half time, if not for the deflected goal that we didn't really craft or deserve.

It wouldn't have mattered if he had played that negative shape, but if he had a forward to draw on would he have played differently?

It's one of those you can't really answer

I think you can analyse the players performance and the manager’s individually.

The players were not good enough today. The manager certainly wasn’t.

I see Southampton and Brighton teams with infinitely worse players attempting to win games every week. I see no reason why without Kane and Son we can’t attempt to do that.

We have played the last 2 games in a desperate attempt not to lose, relying on a defence that has been pourous for over a year. It’s suicide.

For the three reasons I gave we’re not good enough and it wouldn’t make any difference who was in charge or how he set us up

If we attacked or pressed with this shower we’d get annihilated
Did well only losing 2-1 in the end

No idea where are headed as a club.

Really hard to determine any kind of direction, style of football or anything.

Utterly discombobulated.
I agree. Nothing at all gives a clue in what direction Mourinho wants to go. I think this season is a transition season and I'm happy that we still are fighting both for CL, in CL and in the FA cup. What I'm worried about is if the whole Mourinho period will be a wast of time. A transition period. If could have gotten Ancelotti instead.

I see Rio is talking out of his arse again:

The pundit believes Mourinho has made it clear he does not rate Lucas Moura, Steven Bergwijn, Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso.

“That interview says that the attacking players like Moura, Bergwijn, Ndombele, Lo Celso - is he saying that they’re not good enough? That he’s inherited players that ‘I need to have wholesale changes in the next window’.

Yes Rio, Mourinho doesn't rate Lo Celso and Bergwijn, two players he made permanent deals for last month. Fucking melter

Perhaps they have better squads

I don’t know

So with both Kane and Son out and Moura not firing who do we play up front?

But we also beat a Man City team that were favourites against us barely a couple of weeks ago, minus Kane etc. In football you get good results sometimes, sometimes a bad result surely that's the game ain't it?

You say when we play Chelsea or Woolwich we always seem to come out losers. What's our record against both clubs over the past 5-6 years? I bet it ain't no as bad as you think it is.
...and you're probably right.. but the fact it FEELS like they always get the better of us tells you a LOT!

He's insufferably shit isn't he.

Much like Bent, he just prattles out pure fantasy as analysis.

You think a serial winner could figure it out.

We didn't have a midfield last year and Poch cobbled together 4th and a CL final.

Now we don't have a striker but apparently we can't do anything! It's an unsolvable problem!

It would have enabled the team to move up the pitch. It would have enabled Bergwijn and Moura to play wide, which would have helped draw the Chelsea CB’s across, which then enables play through the middle. It would have added a presence at set plays, both defensive and attacking. It would have given more rotation options.

would it have guaranteed us a win, no. Would it have made us more competitive. Yes.
