When you analyse all the details, logistics, and potential 'what ifs' the very idea of finishing this season before the next is utterly absurd. Media can talk all they want about we must finish for the integrity of the league but we all know it's about money.

Wish they'd just bin the thing and if they want to give the dippers some token title then so be it - it will never be fully recognised and they'll always be bantered about it which they'll hate

I read somewhere today to play the games behind closed doors will require 30 thousand tests , surely that’s a waste of such scarce resources? Cancel the fucking thing

Something occurred to me today. I did an FA course last year where the lead tutor was a Premiership and England physio.

We talked about Muamba and the fact that within the FA there is a concern that African players from a certain region could have undiagnosed heart issues.
And as grassroots coaches to be aware of this and manage players accordingly.

With all the talk of BAME staff taken out of the frontline on the NHS it’s a wonder there’s not more talk about this for footballers who are literally pushing their bodies to the limits on a daily basis and the possible impact of a respiratory disease for their careers.

Anyone heard the Bristol manager message to his players?

Summary for the FL
-probably season ends now, promotions (3 up) and no relegation.
-to finish the league they need 600K (may have been 60K) tests and in this climate they cant.
- Possibly no football in 2021, definitely none with crowds.
- Owners have duty of care to players legally and if we are still social distancing how do they play / tackle etc.
- If the league goes into July would those who's contracts up stay the extra month and forego their 1 month exit payment (normally they get an extra month at the end of the contract). Clubs not willing to pay this month.

The media is also desperate for it to resume because they are so reliant on football to produce acres of content for them. Imagine how hits to sports news sites will have declined because of all this!

With all this desperation from the media and money men to finish off the season with a series of quite frankly sub-par games, it seems no one has even considered the players.

Honestly, if I was a player I'd consider saying get stuffed. I don't want to risk my own or others' health, nor do I want to take away precious testing resources (even if purchased from private firms) that could be better used elsewhere.

Whole thing is an utter joke and no-one in the upper echelons has the guts to make a decision and draw a line under the fucking thing.

I quite like the idea of non stop football in June but I can see so many pitfalls? What happens if a couple of players test positive, is the whole thing cancelled again? Do we just carry on? What if players don't want to? Can players be transferred? It seems way too risky. I can't imagine why the government would risk it. What if a player dies or a family member dies because of playing?

Latest pearl of wisdom from Gary Neville. Fuck me what an idiot. Quite possibly the dumbest 'solution' I've heard up to now and there have been some shockers. Love to know what this fictitious country is....

“They would take the Premier League over to that country — the players, the broadcasters, the media — and quarantine for a week before delivering it in an environment that has proven it can handle coronavirus.

“There are spots in Europe that have not got coronavirus at this time which could handle the league finishing. If they were serious about delivering it with a safe outcome, they could do that.”
