Wouldn't think of him as a DM, but his stats show he is quite busy. Good leader, could be a great fit at the base of a midfield 3 with Gio and Ndombele next to him.
I thought of him as a basic clogged but like you said, leadership skills, young, great defensive stats and works hard

I think Hojbjerg is brilliant and criminally underrated and think it'd be a great signing.
He did apparently tell Southampton that he was leaving in the summer though and until then will give his all so maybe there is something in it. Hopefully we can get the job done.
He only has a year left on his contract.

No.
He's infinitely better on the ball than Wanyama too. Who at his peak, whilst was stronger as a player, didn't work nearly as hard as Hojbjerg or better on the ball.
He’s pretty much a trademark Mourinho DM. Think Makalele, Khedira, Matic. Nothing fancy about him, does all the basics well, good vocally on the pitch.

I think somebody has got a young promising midfielder mixed up with an old ex-Barcelona striker.
