Wow, we bought through a few youngsters and got to a couple of finals. Jesus, the whole to dare is to do motto this club adopts is completely rendered pointless when you got Spurs supporters celebrating failure. It’s a reason why we get laughed at by rivals so much. The term “Spursy” is there for a reason.

I watched the Last Dance on Netflix and what an inspirational documentary. A winning machine Chicago Bulls spearheaded by a true winner Michael Jordan. That’s what Spurs need to achieve, not get to a few bloody finals and lose them.

Not sure if the Bulls really make your point. They built their team through the draft by being shit in the late 80s.
Jordan, Pippen and Horace Grant were all early first round picks.

That's the usual usage. You're absolutely right but back in the day at uni, it was a catch all phrase for any space wasters. Of course this was back in the Stone Age. You're probably too young to have heard it. Plus of course. "Watch with Mother ". They were up there with Bill and Ben..........Flobalob!

First of all, just read the edition of your last comment. I´m not taking your comments personally, so please don´t do it with mine. Now, it seems that you have a problem with interpretation. Maybe it´s my fault - my english is poor. I´ll try to make it very clear:

I didn´t say Jose would refuse Pogba. Actually, even if I wanted to say it, I couldn´t. What I said was that Pogba was not his choice, his signing, etc. About your second question, the answer is "Yes". If Jose asked for a new right-back (or left-back, or center-back), Ed Woodward could say "No". In fact, that happened and it´s a well known fact. I can name a few players: Harry Maguire (signed a year later); Alex Sandro and Alphonso Davies. Ivan Perisic, Jerome Boateng.

However, the point for me is, "IF", an entity with deep pockets and the will to spend did come along, and it's a possibility, do we put the team 1st or the origin of the money? As I said, I personally don't have an answer.
All I know is I'd love to see us playing the kind of football we were playing on a regular basis just a few years ago. And if that happened, I wonder if a lot of people would forget that moral high ground in order to smack the chavs, Woolwich, the Dippers etc. God! Wouldn't it be a temptation?
