Match Tottenham Hotspur v Everton - July 6th - 8PM (UK)

I’ll give Jose the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he is going after something deeper than performances and results right now. Maybe he’s trying to get some mental strength, toughness and a demanding attitude into us. Maybe the football doesn’t matter so much right now. Season is a write off. If we can start the new season with a more demanding team spirit and a dressing room of several leaders, perhaps all this turgid football will be worth it?

Genuinely the best we can hope for because he sure as fuck isn't going anywhere this summer...

We know Levy has always wanted him so maybe we'll actually get some decent transfers, regardless of the coronavirus financial hit.

But with better opponents (And we'll not get much worse than that Everton team) we would have been under the cost far more.

If we had shown urgency, desire and some skill, we would have been out of sight. For 30 minutes we were all over them and created nothing except a fortunate goal that on another day flies miles wide. And then, as per usual, we sat back and let them come at us.

Might work tonight, nothing says it would ever work again.

I would rather watch boring tedious football and win a major trophy than watch us play amazing football and constantly miss out on the most important thing in competitive sports, which is silverware.

People who try and convince others that silverware is secondary to entertainment are the kind of people who want to give everyone a participation medal.
What happened against Norwich at home in the cup? We could have been in QFs.

If you think Mou is bringing home Ol' Big Ears or a League title than bless you sir because that seems very optimistic.

I am optimistic and there’s nothing wrong with that
I could be a boring miserable cunt like Team Spirit for instance

All I’m saying is get behind your team and give Jose a decent chance

I really liked his post match interview. Shows me he is working on our team culture. You can have great relationships with people but also demand high standards. We need the likes of Kane, Lloris, Dier and ANO new midfield general to be like Rottweilers when colleagues aren’t performing. We have some of the talent. We need the mentality to boot.

I'm always behind Spurs which is why it's hard for me to get behind Jose. It's not like he hasn't had time with the squad at this point. There's just nothing there right now to point to as progress or a bright spot. Maybe that changes, I'm just extremely skeptical based on his management the past 4 years.

I'll take the much-needed win and clean sheet.
Pretty dire, forgettable match. Deserved to win and maybe could have got a second to kill a very mediocre Everton.
Loved seeing Son get a bollocking from the Captain - definitely some hangover from his pathetic defending against Sheff Utd. Much better display from Son actually.

But he hasn’t had time and it’s not his squad
