It's over 2 seasons. The numbers don’t add up. That’s 66 points between the two of them. We have 55 points now. If we win our last two games, we end up with 61 points.

Mourinho's only had 24 league games.

Well no shit.
We also haven't played 48 League games this season buddy.
Well if Mourinho's only had 24 league games, the previous 24 league games under Poch makes clear sense as the most obvious comparison.

Our form was fucking rotten under Pochettino, despite all the passing for the sake of it.
Blind faith isn't support though. I'm not against Mourinho although didn't want him appointed. I thought and still think he is past his best, will fall out with Levy over transfers and the style of football isn't/ wont be particulaly good.. Overall i think he isn't a great fit for us as a club. That doesn't mean i'm a 'Mourinho hater' or i want him to fail to be proved right. If he does well then the club does well so thats all good. With the turn in results he'll obviously be here at the start of next season so we all have to hope for the best. I remain sceptical but if we really start to see an improvement i'll happily say he is doing well but its no blank cheque from any criticism like all our managers. The people against Jose are not only wasting their energies but denying their players the full backing they deserve.
Because it appears every single player is behind the manager and probably looking at this as a chance to finally win something. The midfielder wanting to come from Southampton, if true, is probably wanting to come because he wants to win something and knows he has a very high chance of doing so.
Like I said, believe, especially when you don’t want to because you will be playing your part. That’s what support is meant to be.

Yep. You have to be fair. I was on another board when Redknapp was manager and there was a section that hated him so much that he couldnt do any right. Good result, down to the squad /players, crap result down to him. Every good signing was Levy, every crap signing Redknapp. I thought then what a joyless bloody existanse they must lead, almost wanting us to fail and missing out on any enjoyment from a pretty good 4 years. Judge them on results and performances not history or personality.Fair.
Though the flipside is that there are a cross-section of fans actively looking for excuses to criticise him.

Pains me to say it but Ardiles and Hoddle as well. My two heroes growing up bloody hell they were crap managers for us. Gerry Francis deserves a mention also.I like winning. Been waiting 60 years to win the league again.
He cannot be the worst manager we have ever had BECAUSE:-
There was
Gross
Ramos
Graham
AVB
I was going to mention them but .........Pains me to say it but Ardiles and Hoddle as well. My two heroes growing up bloody hell they were crap managers for us. Gerry Francis deserves a mention also.

I was initially against the Mourinho appointment, mainly as I thought he was past it, and it had echoes of George Graham. Now I think it was probably the right thing to do in that Mourinho is going to try to work to change the mentality of defeatism at the club. If he can win something like the fa cup or even the europa, ok by playing admittedly negative football, at least it would be a trophy and often that is the main springboard to success. This is not a trade off I like to make but unless you have billionaire saudi owners its very difficult to win anything playing attractive football.
Looking at Poch, I think he tried to change the mentality with what is known as positive psychology, but the problem with that is life after all is often unfair and shitty. Poch crumbled after the CL final defeat and this spread through the (admittedly underinvested into) squad. I think Poch really started to lose it as a person and he needed a break away to recover.
Mourinho will use negative tactics to get results and hope those results transfer into a trophy; by then his job will have been done and he will move onto China, but if he can change the defeatism at the club his appointment would have been a success given a less than ideal set of circumstances. Spurs need to learn it is not circumstances which conspire against us, but how we respond to them that matters.
