Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Most of Southampton's supporters are happy with the deal.

They are saying it's 18m for Hojbjerg (15m now, plus 3m in bonus). I don't think they know about Fulham being after KWP.

But I'd say in resume, it seems to be a good piece of business for everybody involved. And I think Hojbjerg should be praised. He showed desire to come to Tottenham and made everything really easy for us.

Yes, him wanting to join the team is a big plus. That will hopefully give him a psychological lift over the sort of signing who is maybe higher up the skill chart but a lazy tosser who can't last 90 mins.

I agree we have suffered losses during that period -that's a fact

However I fundamentally disagree with the notion pedaled on here by some we're now essentially skint and should only expect loan deals for relegated cloggers

Nothing to do with me.

Spurs are certainly a lot worse off than expected - and that will affect transfers - financial position really difficult to call from the outside, but I'm still hopeful of a small net spend (maximum £50m, might well be lower) so not expecting too many loan deals for relegated cloggers, but a few loan deals (helps other clubs with FFP, and Spurs 'try before you buy') might well happen.

And that compares to a net £100m - £140m spend (ie repeat of last summer/spring TW's) which I had been suggesting pre-covid

That's just gullible people believing what they read. There will be money to spend on players. The club took a £175m loan out so that we can operate as normal to cover the losses brought about by the stadium being closed.

But huge outgoings (wages etc) with no matchday income isn’t going to paint a great picture financially, especially if it takes up a high proportion of your income (we don’t know the figures as we haven’t been in the stadium for a while accounting period yet). That’s pretty obvious.

TV money is the biggest revenue stream and that is guaranteed.

Levy has gambled £10m a year on Jose to bring success rather than the £150m we need to spend on the squad.

He has gambled £15 million a year on him but he still needs to spend £150 million. I don't think Jose is the man to take us to the next step. We are a team that is not used to winning .We have a team that has gotten by on the back of having a world class GK,CB and striker also another very good CB and lw. We had for a few seasons the best 2 fbs in the prem . Now the gland 2 cbs are getting old the fw is still scoring but is getting injuries the lw is still very good but inconsistent and the fbs have departed. We have not gotten replacements for any of them not with the same stats. Now we have invested big in the cm and one is paying off I think the other one will become good. We have a cam who was good but now believes he is a superstar but really is very average and for one bi am fed up with his flashy flicks. The point I am trying to make is yes we still have a WC GK ,fw and CB and a good lw and cm with in a season we will need a massive lay out not just to get the players we need but to replace what we have. That's why we are in decline as our once very good team is getting old, injured or sold and we have no back ups at the same standard.

Calling Eddie Howe... Calling Eddie Howe

Of course but we are on to be the club with the biggest match day income in the country. If, for example, contracts (eg Kane & ndombele) have been constructed with a higher budgets in place because of the new stadium, then it’s going to be a problem isn’t it?

But we took the loan out so we should be able to operate normally. It’s partly the reason Man Utd can bid for sancho. We’ll be able to buy players within reason too.

I'll try to find time in my hectic schedule.
Here's a few of the more believable ones off the top of my head.

We'll take the lot dont bother wrapping them.

It feels like more people are coming around to the idea they are trying to run the club on the least amount of input for the maximum output.
Even the expensive stadium if you really think about it, is a money making device. Maximize revenue from match days, rent it out for non-football events. Finance most of it rather than pay up front from the pot etc.
Ultimately, they wagered they could make more every month than the cost to repay it.
Yes, definately more people are realising this & speaking up. Slowly but surely! The problems on the pitch are bringing it to the forefront.

All our wages are amongst the lowest wage to income ratio in the league, levy makes sure of this so extra revenue is a bonus unlike some clubs we are not overly reliant on it.
