This is a few days old so I'm sure it's been discussed in here. It seems Ben White doesn't want to return to Brighton which is great news for a team like us. He looks very promising. Unfortunately, he wants to return to Leeds. This doesn't mean he wouldn't be open to coming here I suppose, but seeing how he had great success there already we may not have a chance because of his preference.

If they are rejecting 25 million from his preferred location then it would seem we likely need to get to at least 30 million to beat Leeds. If we are spending that much on a CB this window then he likely needs to be at worst our 3rd choice CB and I am not sure he would be for Jose.

I would love to add him and sell Dier and go with a rotation of Toby, Sanchez and White but I don't see that happening and I am not sure we can spend 30 million (or more) on a 4th choice CB even if he is HG.

Well, we either pay 30m for him now.....or watch him go to Leeds for around that price and then to Chelsea for double that in a couple years lol

It doesn’t appear he is. . . If you watch the Ipswich game he was being used further forward than winks, consistently through out the game.

My theory is that PEH is a great ball winner but doesn’t have the footballing ability to collect the ball from the CB’s consistently.

Edit: could just be a 1 off, it’s only 1 game. Also could be a Kante/Jorginho type situation. We’ll see.

I think White would be our first choice centre back within a year. Trouble is we currently have 5 so we're going to have to sell 2 to bring him in. Given contract situations that would likely have to be Foyth and Sanchez. Just think its all too much to do in a relatively short time frame and with other more pressing priorities. Shame because like other good youngsters available at the moment i think we'll be looking back in 18 months saying why didnt we sign them when they were affordable.

Back on track, Liverpool have two full backs that cost a combined 9M.
One academy and one “Champo Clogger” from Hull.
How does that sit with you? If we did that?

And can you show me where Airfix said Cirkin was the new TAA? Or did you make that up.....just a few posts after claiming I make things up?
