Play Aurier on the left?

If we're playing a Faroese runner-up on Thursday, Manchester United on Sunday, and Yeovil Town on Tuesday, we're going to need some options.

I guess Gedson and Cirkin as starting fullbacks? What if literally anyone along our backline picks up a knock?

We're very light at fullback!

Who would you rather be a member in good standing of the squad next year, Aurier or Rose?

If Doherty comes through, that means all three players we've acquired thus far played in the Premier League last season and the majority of their senior careers. That feels like a Mou influence to me.

So is Doherty HG both in the PL & according to UEFA or not?
Lost the final conclusion in the discussion about it yesterday.

Couldn't find it then, but found it now!

Wolverhampton Wanderers
25 Squad players (*Home grown)

Bennett, Ryan*
Boly, Willy-Arnaud Zobo
Burgoyne, Harry James*
Castro Otto, Jonatan
Coady, Conor*
Cristovao, Flavio Silva
Da Silva Neves, Ruben Diogo
Dendoncker, Leander
Deslandes, Sylvain Boris Nabil
Doherty, Matthew James*

And here is the rule, from the same link:

A "Home-Grown Player" means a player who, irrespective of nationality or age, has been registered with any club affiliated to The Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons, or 36 months, before his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21).

The use of "seasons", and the endpoint being the END of whatever season the player turns 21, would mean that Juan Foyth is homegrown too!

(And if UEFA uses the same definitions, still can't find that, Foyth would also count as one of four "club trained" players, alongside Kane and Winks)

So let's suppose we sign Doherty and flog off Aurier. You're allowed 17 non-HG's, 8 HG's, and unlimited U21's (born on or after 1/1/99)

HG's (10)
Kane
Winks
Alli
Davies (not for UEFA)
Doherty
Tanganga
Hart
Foyth
Rose
Carter-Vickers

Non-HG's (13)
Lloris
Alderweireld
Hojbjerg
Sanchez
Son
Lamela
Dier
Sissoko
Lo Celso
Gazzaniga
Bergwijn
Lucas
Ndombele

U21
Sessegnon
Gedson
Clarke
Cirkin

All of a sudden we'd be in really good shape Homegrown-wise.

They had around £180m in sales in the bank. Really, like it always does for them, the transfer ban, selling Hazard, it all ends up working out for them, giving them cash in a depressed market.
I can't be arsed to dig around for my post saying this when the transfer ban happened - but the cunts always come out smelling of roses, regardless of the situation.

They bounce back like herpes.

I know we are celebrating Doherty being cheaper than what we get for Aurier....but the Aurier deal isn’t done yet so this could actually lower his price lol
I honestly don't give a shit for how much we sell Aurier for, even though they will likely be bought/sold for within £5m of each other. I just think Doherty is clearly better at what Mourinho wants his RB to do than Aurier is.
