He could be if he stayed fit, but every pre season he looks awesome and then by January he is back in the physios room, don’t get me wrong I’m not blaming him as I like him as a player it’s just his body can’t seem to cope to the demands of the PL so therefore he should be upgraded on if possible for someone who can play 80% + games a season

You got to feel for the guy a bit as it’s not really though any fault of his own, I know some may say he is on loads of cash and not playing so why feel sorry for him , but he has the ability there and if he could have stayed fit then he would have been a special player, but unfortunately we only see glimpses of what he is capable of.
He's been fine mostly, maybe apart from some misplaced passes, which I expected. It's more that against good teams I'm worried that he's going to push too far up in a two in an attempt to press, and in doing so allow the opposition to play through us and have a route straight at the heart of the defence (which was our biggest issue over the past two seasons). I think he needs to play as the central, and deepest, player in a midfield 3 so that he isn't tempted to push so far up the pitch.
