So our net spend stands at 18m so far. We still need a striker and a CB at the very least. I think we are now going to concentrate on flogging some of the players considered 'deadwood' by the club before going back into the market again.

Aurier, CCV, Rose and Foyth to be shifted soon.

I could see Aurier getting done very quick now that Doherty is official. Would be nice to get 18m for him to put as at a net even.

If we shift Aurier for £18 million out net spend is back down to £0 , I wonder if we will keep CCV for squad depth as he is HG, he can play the Europa league and cup games and I doubt we would get more than £5 million for him any way , I think next out will be Aurier and Rose and we sign a decent option for when Kane needs resting. Even in the current circumstances surely we can afford a net spend of £50 million this season? Which means if we sell Aurier we still have about £70 million plus anymore outgoings?

Ali G reporting MD was only 13.4m so add the 3m from PEH and that's only 16.4m.....

AC have shown their hands as having some cash to play with now, so no reason why we can't push for the full balance from them, Leverkusen or Monaco for Serge.....

Would loved to have seen Doherty play (from a fans P.O.V.) over these last couple of days, but great to finally have it wrapped up.

Lucas de Vega appears to be a Brazilian who joined Barca's La Masia academy and (probably) now has Spanish nationality, with suggestions he may have played for both youth national teams.

Regardless, he's 20 now, so to make our first team squad he'd be one of the 17 non-HG/Association trained players, and we' ve heard endless ITK about how tricky we're finding it to get the right balance in our squad.

Still, if he's a top prospect, the price doesn't seem extortionate and perhaps we'll loan him out. I'm not convinced sticking him in our development squad with no chance of 1st team football, because he likely wouldn't be part of the 17 non-HG, would be a good move for anyone.

EDIT: or would he qualify, as Foyth has historically, as an U21 and thus be eligible to play?

Fans wouldn’t accept it?
They don’t have a choice.

What is this....slag off the club for not signing quality, then say don’t sign quality because they might leave.

Did you want Poch sacked in 2016 at our peak when he said:

"I have always said that one day it would be a pleasure to manage a big club like Paris, a dream.

"I try to watch all of their games, especially in the Champions League and sometimes I speak with [Paris Saint-Germain assistant coach] Jean-Louis Gasset."
Don't sign quality if they just want to bounce to a bigger club in a couple of years. I hate it when players bitch about not making the CL when they were partly the reason why the club isn't there.

No I trusted him not to break his contract and he didn't break his contract unfortunately it doesn't work both ways.

A Sunday announcement? Fucking Sunday??? What kind of half arsed, shambolic, shitshow of a cowboy outfit is Levy running? One does not simply announce a signing on a Sunday.

UNACCEPTABLE!

Levy out...

It's his dream to play here too

Price is not to bad. Could be good but bit wary of Barca letting him go if they don't seem him good enough. Then again he could be like cesc so who knows

Lets say we end up paying 3m. That's fuck all....

I'll always welcome little deals like this.....

Regardless of his detractors, Dier (eg) has been a superb piece of business at 4m and the above 3m is worth less that half that amount these days.....

Wolves have to give Bohemians 10% of that?
