Why were people asking for anyone in any position though?
Why ask Bale, we have Clarke!
Why ask attacking RB, we have Davies and Circkin!
Why ask CB, we have Foyth.

Point is - none of them is good enough and people want improvements.
Hjojberg effect remains to be seen, maybe he'll do okay. But he has not been out-and-out DM. Not the destroyer who would sit beween Ndombele and Lo Celso and protect backine.

I think we will get away with it for most sides, but having a deep lying playmaker who can defend is the final piece for me, rest of the squad is looking tasty.

If we can get a player like that it will help the rest of the team as the full backs can bomb on and Ndombele will have less defensive work. Not the end of the world, this has been a very good transfer window and we have fixed so much but if we got a DM that would be a 10/10 window.

I am not talking about deep-lying playmaker. This is a role that Lo Celso will fill, I believe.
I am talking about monster DM. Like prime Wanyama. Or even better someone like prime Kante - small and dynamic c*nt who will hassle you to ground and come away with the ball. Then runs with it until first defender comes to take him on and then drops back to repeat it again for 30 times in a game if needed.

Lo Celso is not going to play the Allen or Fabinho role. I mean with DM you can go two routes, you can get the workhorse Waynama type or the Busquests type, both play the same position just in front of the back two. I happen to prefer the Busquests type sitting in front of the back 2 and most top teams generally go down that route these days.

whoever we get at some point, probably not this window they need to be good defensively sitting and be decent at passing.
 
Fair play I am a critic of Levy in how he has backed previous managers and left them a bit hung out to dry but this is a great window, easily the best I have ever seen.

Defence: if Skriniar is done we will have 4-5 CB and a decent set of full backs.

Attack: amazing, Bale, Kane, Son, Carlos, Lucas, Bergwijn. Up there with Liverpool as the best attacks in the league on paper at least.

Midfield: great going forward we have Ndombele, Lo Celso, Lamela, Dele then we have the workhorses of PEH, Sissoko and Gedson, in front of the back 2 we only have Wink or we could use PEH on occasion but only area we are light on really.

Goalkeeper: Happy getting Hart, adds to the home grown and if he plays like he used to a great addition.

9/10 if we get Skriniar and fixes almost everything.

LASK and Royal are decent sides, play in leagues that keep improving year on year, so not to be underestimated. But we should defo have enough to at least beat them at home + draw away.

Ludogo will be a bit like Maccabi ie dangerous upfront with their technique but shaky at the back and probably will fade quite badly after the hour mark.

Let's get it done, Boyz!!!
 
Pretty sure we won't be getting a centre back

Might be good since we're doing the scatter gun approach and just going for big names instead of someone we actually identified as THE right option.
 
Dier is loved. Alderwiereld is a Jose favourite. I'm sure Jose isn't entirely saddened if we don't get a centre back.
 
Keep in mind that the domestic window is still open after Monday so there’ll be time to offload/loan locally
