Personally....

1. I thinks he's pretty shit.... Evidently the Chavs agree.
2. He's a shady cunt on the pitch / Chav factor
3. A bit to comfy with playing the race card.

Couldn't give a shit what he think of us.
1 and 2 is fair enough.
I don't like the phrase 'race card' because it infers that racism is not a serious issue. I know that you do think that racism is a serious issue.
I don't want him mainly because of point 1 it seems to be a step down from the quality we were originally after.

Everyone was yapping the same bullshit when Gallas joined. Oh he's a cunt, oh he's past it, oh he's not good enough for Chelski.

Turned out he was a really good CB for us that always put in 100% effort.

I, indeed, take racism very seriously; all the more reason why I believe 'race carding' (in the intended sense of the term) is counter-productive to an otherwise righteous cause.... It gives those that don't believe it to be a serious issue un-warranted ammo.

Thats bollocks.

His form dipped near the end of last season but before that he was excellent.
I saw your other post too. Looks like you judge defenders by athleticism.

William Gallas was good for us at the time, but hardly gold standard. At the level, and ambition we are right now, that version of Gallas wouldn't get into the team.

Back to Rudiger, many German fans, Chavski fans all agree that Rudiger is terrible. Even you thought his form dipped at the end of last season. I don't know how much you watch Chavski play, but I can say I see quite a bit of their games, and Rudiger was bad. People talking about Kepa, but there was more to Chelsea conceding so many goals for a side in top 4. Why had Roma been trying to spend for Smalling, Chavski has put Rudiger up for loan/sale all window?

If we really are looking at rudiger just dont bother with another CB

Rather put our faith in Tanganga

He was pretty solid for the most part when he came into the team last year

After last season i thought Rudiger is a good defender. Strong and has a range of passing in him.
That being said, i really dont want him here if possible. If he do come, then lets go. But preferrabbly no.
If funny how he tried to be the clubs agent in courting Werner and Havertz only to never play with them.

Rudiger is a very good defender, he’s quick, strong and has the **** attitude Jose demands of his players on the pitch.

When we beat Chelsea during the week all of the pundits were mystified as to why Rudiger has been frozen out as they were all in agreement that he’s Chelsea’s best defender.

There’s been no word from Chelsea and nothing in the press as to why they want rid of him. It implies something has happened but as to what is anyone’s guess.

Fans don’t like him because of his actions against us last season.

1) He claimed he heard racist chanting. Despite no evidence to support this it’s not to say that he didn’t misconstrue crowd noise to sound like something offensive.

2) He went down like he had been shot which resulted in the red card. Yes this is poor sportsmanship but it’s not something that many other regarded/highly sought after players haven’t done.

Fernandes - we hear non stop whinging as to why we didn’t sign him yet he dives all over the place.

Diego Costa - he was crazy and a right dirty ******* yet fans would have welcomed his rough and tumble.

Dembele - our once formidable midfield destroyer also had a dark side. Head-butting and eye gouging. Yet we still held him in high regard.

Dele Alli - another who’s been booked/sent off for diving and/or going down too easily. He’s also been pulled up for having a poor attitude and being lazy in training. Yet we still want an eye watering sum of money for him because he’s still a highly talented player.

The point is lots of top players at some point or another have shown poor sportsmanship yet we seem to focus on one off incidents and disregard the 10 to 1 benefits they would bring.

I don’t like Chelsea or how they operate but they still have some quality players who would both add balance and strength to our squad. I’m not suggesting we try and sign a load of them, simply supporting the ethos that because they play for Chelsea doesn’t mean they’re shit.

I don’t get how we deem €45-50m as too expensive.

If you go back a couple of seasons we reportedly wanted:

Alderweireld- £75m
Sanchez - £50m+
Dier - £50m+

I know Toby has aged and regressed but Skriniar is easily just as good if not comfortably a grade higher than our other existing centre backs. Yet we’re valuing him at a lower amount that what we wanted/would want for our existing poorer defenders 🤔
