Transfers Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I wouldn't be bothered if Rudiger joined. Gallas and Adebayor both did well for us for a spell.

Get him in, help strengthens the squad and maybe review our options in Jan.

Yeah he accused some Spurs fans of being racist but he's not going to be playing in front of us for some time to come anyway. Maybe he'll win some doubters over with his performances on the pitch, I mean I'm sure if he scored a last minutes headed winner against Woolwich he'd soon be forgiven!

Thanks

Rumour was a loan with option to buy at 13.5m plus 3m bonuses and a 1.5m loan fee. Personally wasn't expecting him back, as even average performances meant he would still be worth that fee for Villareal in 12 months time.

Are you saying its now permanant and no loan with 'try before you buy ''? Any idea of fee if permanant ? Villareal still ?
No idea of the details but was told this morning its going to be permanent🤷‍♂️

Hard to tell with Levy if this is all posturing and we will just scoop him up on deadline day, or if it really is dead. Didn't we hear a bunch of times that the Lo Celso transfer was dead before it happened?

I don't know, got a strange feeling we will land him tomorrow.

Not mainstream transfer business I know, but it looks as if we are acquiring a number of youngsters (after extensive trials) who are older than usual (19 and 20) - its not clear precisely why, but it maybe with a view to see if any of them can step up in he next 12 months to be a first team squad player....or just simply to get a more competitive u21 team which will be a better environment for our home grown youngsters to develop.

So far :

Keenan Ferguson - RB/CB. 20 later this month. Looked very very good as both CB and RB (best player for Spurs on the day), in a streamed match a month ago. Ex Sheffield United.

Marcel Lavinier - RB/CB - 20 in 2 months time. Left Chelsea (rightly) as he saw no future there with Reece James and Tariq Lamptey (now at Brighton) ahead of him.

Tobi Omole - LB/CB/DM - 21 in 2 months time. Formerly with Woolwich

All the above are, I think 6 footers which is the style of fullbacks that JM prefers (and maybe why KWP never stood much chance with JM ?)

And to complete youth news Maxim Paskotsi, a 17 year old EStonian CB who has already made a number of first team appearances for his former club in the top Estonian league scored a debut goal for Spurs u18's this moring, just a week after arriving. And we have another Estonian youngsrter on trial
