We are able to make edits to the squads in January since its a transfer window. So he can be added then. But if he doesn't class as a homegrown we may have to remove someone else of our foreign players. Or bring in another homegrown to boost the quota.

The squad needs a lot of work IMO, but there's very little that can be done in January. Rather than another midfielder I think we need a right winger, one with real pace but not like Son/Werner/Auba. Someone more like Grealish, Podence, Neto, or even St Maximin.
A goal scoring winger who is supremely confident on the ball, able to take on a defender 1v1, get past them and either hit the target or bring in Kane/Son.
If it was even remotely a possibility I'd ship out Winks asap and bring in Calvin Phillips. Him in place of Sisssoko/Winks/Lo Celso would do a lot to get us out of a deep low block to more of a mid block. He can also spray the ball about from deep like Toby with astonishing consistency.

Rodon had a dodgy debut at best and made 2 massive errors one of which lead to a goal saved by marginal offside and the other by shit finish by gooner Giroud

Philips is a good player but its completely pointless bringing him in and getting rid of Sissoko.
Theres also no chance of another winger coming in. Weve already got Bergwijn, Bale, Moura and Lamela for 1 spot.
I don't disagree with any of that but it simply proves we should have gone for a proven player who can have an instant impact instead of another Levy special
We tried to sign Skriniar, but the deal fell through. Second best option IMO.
It fell through because we didn't want to pay up and went for the bargain bin special. I don't believe he was second best option by a long shot
Why didn't we just sign Ramos or Van Dijk while we were at it? As an up and coming international, i just don't see Rodon as a bargain bin special. This guy is a premium potential, one that could turn out to be a world beater in a few years.

I was talking about Sanchez and Winks. Sell them and get Phillips, he is fairly solid in the air (which none of Ndombele/Sissoko/PEH/Winks are), his ability to play quick one touch football is similar to PEH, and it would massively reduce turnovers in our own half, giving as a platform to attack more.
He's not as physical as Sissoko but if the opposition doesn't have a Werner type player, we can safely drop Sissoko for a midfield of Phillips, Ndombele/Lo Celso and PEH.
